Fi 5120c will not scan sheets that have different color entries
We have a fi 5120c and it works great but my understanding it is a color scanner and it will not scan anything with color entries on the sheet. We have the color default set and it still only scans to black/gray. Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

hi, it sounds like the scanner is multifeeding, and as you have it set to A4 once that length is scanned, its just getting rid of the rest and starting the new page. Try cleaning or replacing the separation pad, or to prove the fault, hold the 2nd sheet until the 1st is scanned and its trying to pick thyen 2nd.
The lines are due to dirty scanner mirror. The printer/ scanner design is based Sheet-Fed Scanner. Open/Lift the scanner top (by pullung it near the area where you feed the paper to scan). Look out for the horizontal mirror and use a soft, damp, lint-free cloth to gently clean the scanner mirror, rollers etc. and enjoy clear scanning!
Good Luck! Hope this helps! Dont forget to appreciate the solution!! CreativeTECH
If the first page output is black, it could be because of insufficient light (assuming other outputs are okay). May be the light takes more time to get 'on'. Keep the scanner in 'on' position for some time and try if the first page is black. The light has some life and check the user manual if it requires replacement.

Invalid orientation/long scan combination. Check the KScan ScanDirectionCap and ScanContinuousCap properties and set ScanDirection and ScanContinuous accordingly is for error 20080
and for 20090 means Peripheral stopped by user. Stop button was pressed.
