My new Vista PC will not access certain websites. It does not give me an error message it just stays on the screeen as if it is loading. I had AT&T come out and there is nothing wrong with my DSL line so it has to be something with Windows Vista.
This can be many different issues. I would recommend paying for a chat session with someone here due to the fact it will take over a month playing email tag due to all the questions between both of you.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

this can be due to two reasons. first if you are trying to sign in ... it is possible that someone has logged on with you id so yahoo is denying another logon attempt. sometimes trying to log on when yahoo messenger is also logged in at the same time gives this error message. seleting temporary internet files can also help.
otherwise if this message comes up when trying to make a new yahoo id .. it simply means it is taken by someone else so try some other id.
You need an Internet Service Provider and a wireless router and a broadband DSL or cable modem. The DSL or cable modem could have a built-in wireless router, this modem could be included in the broadband plan from the Internet Service Provider.
First, You need organise an Internet Service Provider, they should provide configuration settings, password, and e-mail info etc.
Second, Install the hardware device and wireless LAN drivers. If you have not got these drivers, download them from the IBM/Lenevo WEB site. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista versions of the drivers that match the Windows version on your laptop.
When you run the driver programs they will unzip and copy into a folder C:\drivers Open eash of the driver folders and install the drivers - usually the SETUP file.
Get back to me if you have further problems, and give me the error messages and what steps you took up to and including the error message.
I use yahoo for my ATT DSL mail and I'm not having any issues so I suspect something changed recently on your computer. Have you downloaded any Windows service packs (like XP SP3) or any security patches for Internet Explorer? If you think you have then I would run System Restore (start>all programs (or programs if on classic view)>accessories>system tools>system restore then choose the restore my computer to an earlier state. When asked which restore point to use choose one the day before you started having problems. If that doesn't fix it you have to look at if anything else has changed on your computer or internet setup. Like did you get a new router or DSL modem or install a software firewall? If so those could be blocking yahoo. If you are trying to do this thru a corporate network your administrator could have blocked you too, I know at my job I haven't had access to yahoo for years! If you aren't on a corporate network and nothing else has changed, your router could have flaked out, power off the router and/or modem for a least a minute then plug them back in and try again.
Hope that helps!
