Take loose the nut that holds on the flywheel. Then hold the flywheel with a pair of pliers and lift it off of the workbench, make sure the flywheel nut is even with the top of the crankshaft. As not to damage the crankshaft of the threads. Then lightly strike the nut/crankshaft until the flywheel comes loose. It should only take a couple of taps.

Jet-USA PRSWSH-200PTL-SSR replacing front oil seal How do you get the flywheel off with damaging it?

Flywheel is on the back of the engine. Vibration dampener requires a puller that bolts to the threads in the center of the dampener. Once the crankshaft bolt is out the puller bolts up and the center screw pushes against the crankshaft to remove the dampener.

How many bolt holes are in the flywheel? Mostly 3 holes plus the one in the centre.I used a steering wheel puller and I removed the centre nut to the end of the threads then attached the puller the flywheel. Then proceeded to tighten the puller slowly till the flywheel was loose. Then I removed the puller also removed the centre nut and proceeded to remove the flywheel.Hope this helps.I'm not much at explaining on computer but in person I show you faster. (1) BUT always remember to make the puller is square or level with the flywheel. So that way all 3 bolts are pulling the same time.(2) PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS!!!!...

How do you get the flywheel off of a ms170stihl powersaw

You need a puller to pull the flywheel off the taper on the crankshaft. The puller has two arms that fit over the sides of the flywheel and are joined to a bar that has a threaded bolt running through the centre. It is called a bearing puller. Make sure the hooks that engage behind the flywheel go behind the two 'thicker areas of the flywheel and not behind the air fins. Wind the centre bolt of the puller into the end of the crankshaft until tight then with a bit more pressure the flywheel should come off the taper.

Husqvarna k750 wont idle down. I have replaced both rubber tubes and have even replaced the carb.

Replace the crankshaft on both sides. You will need a special puller to remove the seal on the flywheel side and the flywheel.

What direction does the flywheel nut come off on a 1971 kawasaki 90cc?

Hi, kawasaki use a normal thread on the flywheel retaining nut , anti clockwise will undo the nut, once the nut is removed, you will need a flywheel puller, the thread within the flywheel for the puller, is a lefthand thread, if you dont have a puller, its the same one as suzuki 50, yamaha 50 and honda50 which can be bought realitivly cheap, always remove washer from flywheel when usin a puller to ensure it screws all the way home

I need to take the flywheel of my 1999 honda shadow 1100 T, wht kind of puller do I need?

The puller you need will look like the photo below. The large end screws into the flywheel the the "T" handle is screwed inward to the end of the crankshaft. Turn the handle tight then smack the handle with a hammer. Re-tighten the handle and smack it again, tighten more, etc.. Often just 1 or 2 smacks will pop the wheel free. Once in awhile you must repeat 5 or 6 times. Your dealer may have the puller in stock. If not, try another Honda dealer. Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha use the same puller. Please rate my answer. Thanks. tombones49_105.gif

Can i pull a banshee flywheel with out a flywheel puller

Yes, the flywheel can be removed without a puller. It isn't usually very easy but once the center nut is removed, there is nothing holding the wheel in place other than the remaining pressure of the center nut and whatever "rust bonding" may have occurred. Get a heavy plastic hammer, no steel hammers, and a propane torch. Heat up the wheel center for a minute or so. The expansion/contraction thing will help break the wheel free. Strike all around the outside of the wheel at an outward angle. Give good strong strikes. Sooner or later the wheel will break free. Personally, this could be quick or it could take an hour. You never know. I would get a puller and go the easy route. Hey, you can use it on this bike and others that you will have in the future. Mine is 45 years old and still in use.
