It sounds like your Webroot Spysweeper With AntiVirus Program crashed.

1. Click on CTRL+ALT+ DEL keys (All at once) to bring up the task manager.

2. Under the Applications tab>Click on webroot spysweeper to highlight it. Then click on end task.

3. I would suggest you uninstall and re-install it.

4. Go to Start>Control Panel>Programs>Uninstall a Program

5. Scroll down thru all Programs until you find WebRoot Spysweeper. Click it to highlight it- then click uninstall.

6. When it is finished uninstalling-click on Start>Restart pc.

7. After you log in to your pc>re-install webroot spysweeper.

8. After installation is complete, reboot your pc. This should fix the problem.

Are many users what had this staff of problems with Norton. So my idea is to change it in Avast from http://www.avast.com...first uninstall Norton,restart computer and install one of the versions what have Avast

The problem was my monitor, not Webroot. The expiration of SpySweeper was merely a coincidence. I hooked up a different monitor and the problem went away. Apparently my monitor is on the flake, so I am replacing it... Problem solved.

Sometimes anyantivirus is reported as a virus code for another antivirus,

• If any other antivirus is installed, please uninstall it.
• if your spysweeper is expired, please obtain new version
• uninstall spysweeper, clean registry, and reinstall it.
• use proper authentication, sometimes administrator installs the SW, the user is not able to update it.

its ok now folks . i got it sorted myself . mcafee must have some firewalls that wont allow even traces of another programme through. i installed f-secure instead with no problems whatsoever . thanks for your time.

Uninstall it and remove all registry keys and then reinstall it.

You will need to uninstall and install your program

Restart your computer--> black screen--> after the Bios check (is always the 1st step)--> start pressing the F8 key repeatedly--> Windows boot menu will apear--> use the arrows--> Safe mode

It will look different from you normal Windows (don't worry about this)--> go to Add / remove programs--> Uninstall your spysweeper program--> restart your computer normally--> install your program normally--> check for updates

Are you running Windows Xp or Windows Vista

That error on XP usually means that your trial version or full version has expired. If you have upgraded to Vista, then you will need to uninstall Spy Sweeper and reinstall.
