REMOVE FRONT SPEAKER GRILL, REMOVE INSPECTION PLATE BEHIND IT, LOCATE THE WIRES COMING FROM FRONT KEYBOARD DOWN AND TWO THE RIGHT.

There should be two inline plugs, disconnect both and power set up with remote (pointed at screen) If set comes on and works normally problem is on front keyboard.

Let me know what you find, I am here to help.

I have a 47" Visio 1080p. Tv is always set at hdmi

AV inputs are for standard analog video which is 480i. HDMI and Component inputs are the high definition inputs that run at either 1080i or 1080p You won't ever get 1080i or p through AV inputs.

480p to 1080i

Your TV should automatically switch to 1080i if the source input is in 1080i format. Also, since your TV does not have HDMI, you must use the component 1 or 2 inputs (using component cables) for 1080i source material. You cannot get 1080i from composite or s-video inputs. You should be able to switch to the component inputs using the remote or the front control panel using TV/Video button.

Picture size too large, especially horizontal

Try to press the zoom in or zoom out button on the remote control
if that didn't work, try to check the aspect ratio of your TV. You can see the aspect ration on the menu. set it to 4:3 standards and if it's HD TV set it to 1080i.

Hello

Your TV will display all High Definition signals as 1080i True HDTV™ and all standard definition signals will be displayed as 480p.

Component Inputs 1-2
YPbPr(480i/480p/1080i)
These inputs can be used for the connection of A/V equipment with component video outputs, such as a DVD player or external HDTV receiver. Please see Appendix B for signal compatibility.
Input DTV (480i/480p/1080i)
This input is used to connect an external DTV receiver, and can be configured for YPrPb and RGB plus H&V signal types.

As a special feature, you have the ability to adjust the red and blue light beams in reference to the fixed green light beam. This process is called convergence. There are two separate memories for convergence. One, for SD 480i/480p signals; the other for HD 1080i signals. SD convergence should be adjusted while watching an SD source and HD convergence should be adjusted while watching an HD source.

Wide Expand: Enlarges the picture, cropping some of the image on both sides. This Expand format is useful to remove or reduce black side bars on HD broadcasts of 4:3 images with black bars. Available for analog 1080i, digital SD 16:9 and digital HD signals.

InputDTV
This input is compatible with most standard DTV and satellite receivers with component video (YPbPr) outputs. Compatible DTV signals are SDTV 480i/480p, and HDTV 1080i. All other DTV signals, such as 720p, need to be converted by the DTV receiver to one of the compatible signal types. Please check the DTV receiver specifications before connecting.
This input is compatible with some DTV receivers using RGB with "separate H and V sync". Compatible DTV signals are SDTV 480i, 480p, and HDTV 1080i. All other DTV signals, such as 720p, need to be converted by the DTV receiver to one of the compatible signal types. Industry standards for DTV RGB signals (systems, synchronization, timing, and signal strengths) are not currently established. These inputs will not be compatible with all DTV receivers that offer RGB, HV outputs. RGB, HV signals with less than 5 cables are not compatible.
If your DTV receiver offers both DTV component video signals and DTV RGB, HV signals, we suggest you use the DTV component video signals. Check the DTV receiver specifications before connecting.
Ok.

How to I change tv to 1080i from 480i?

this should automatically be done by the tv. If you input to a standard def input (ie yellow plug) or are using standard def cable it will be 480. If u change to a HD input or an HD channel it should automatically switch to 1080. The input displayed on the tv that says 480i or 1080i is just a result of what is being played, not a setting to be changed.

After Reset, router will not accept admin signon. "admin" can be the userid, or the password, or both -- none of these combinations is accepted.

Are you sure that you held the "Reset" button in long enough?
The manual says to press it for 5 seconds - try 10 seconds.
Also (it is a little bit tricky to do but it helps sometimes):
  1. Press the "Reset" button.
  2. Unplug the power for about 10 seconds while holding the "Reset" Button pressed down.
  3. Plug the power back in and hold the Reset button for another 5 seconds.
  4. Let the router restart and use the standard credentials (username empty, password "admin").

If that does not help, come back here and leave a comment - I'm happy to help.

I have a T5054 TV and the picture has zoomed in and is way too big, however in the picture settings menu the zoom option is not highlighted in Component mode.

There could be a problem, but verify the settings as listed in the owner's manual as follows:

1 Press the MENU button to display the menu.
Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select Picture, then press the ENTER button.
2 Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select Size, then press the ENTER button.
3 Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select the screen format you want.
Press the ENTER button.
Press the EXIT button to exit.
16:9 : Sets the picture to 16:9 wide mode.
Zoom1 : Magnifies the size of the picture on the screen.
Zoom2 : Expands the Zoom1 format picture.
Wide Fit : Enlarges the aspect ratio of the picture to fit the entire screen.
4:3 : Sets the picture to 4:3 normal mode.
Just Scan : Use this function to see the full image without any cutoff when DTV
or HDMI 720p/1080i signals are input.
Press the P.SIZE button on the remote control to change the picture size.

And realize the restrictions as listed:

• In TV, VIDEO, S-VIDEO, and COMPONENT(480i, 480p) modes, all screen
modes can be selected. (16:9 ➞ Zoom1 ➞ Zoom2 ➞ 4:3)
• In COMPONENT(720p, 1080i) or HDMI(720p, 1080i) mode, 16:9, 4:3 and
Wide Fit can be selected.
• In Zoom1, Zoom2 and Wide Fit modes, you can move the picture on the
screen by pressing the ▲ or ▼ button.
•You can not change the picture size when PIP is set to Double.
•When Double ( , ) mode has been set in PIP, the Picture Size cannot
be set.
•Wide Fit can be used when watching a Digital HD (High Definition) signal.
Wide Fit sets the optimum picture format by expanding it both horizontally and
vertically. For example, you can reset the picture in 4:3 format to 16:9. Wide Fit
does not support all external devices (DVD, VCR etc.).

Keep us posted.

Scrolling Channels

You probably have a bad channel down switch on the TV. This is common if any kind of liquid spilled inside of the TV near the controls. The other possibility is just a stuck button on the control pad itself. Sometimes the plastic warps a bit causing to rub against the cabinet causing it to stick. Try moving the button and see if it has free movement.
