Your laptop probably had the OS relaoded and now it doesn't have the device driver needed to recognize your wlan card.

The site http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/advent/laptop/7047.htm has good information on your laptop and which includes the following information on obtaining drivers and enabling the wland. Good Luck

Made by Medion WID2000 (MD40673) - Download Drivers + User Manual

http://www.medion.co.uk/service/?drivers_updates/drivers_updates.htm

* To find the correct drivers on the Medion website search using the MD number printed underneath your laptop.

** Use wireless button to enable/disable wireless network (5th button to the right of power button)

Problem installing WLAN card after installing Vista

First rule-of-thumb, don't trust windows updates for drivers. With that being said, you should find out what the chipset of that Atheros card really is. Download a program called Unknown Devices, by Halfdone. Install the program and run it. It will tell you the actual chipset. Then google search that chipset with the words "xp driver" after it. You should also look at the list and see what the bluetooth type is in you laptop. Usually it will be either a Toshiba bluetooth stack, Widcomm, or Microsoft. Then google that with "xp" after it to find the driver for the bluetooth. Install the software and driver and you should be all set.
Let me know if you need more help.
And if this fixed your issue please make sure to leave comments. Thanks.

Wlan Card

the problem can be many:--
1.go to device manager and check under network adapters,,whether any wireless card is present or not,,if yes,,check whether there is a yellow bang beside it??if yes then the drivers need to be reinstalled,,if it still doesnt resolve the prob. then the hardware may be faulty.sometimes u might see a option "network controller" then u need to reinstall the WLAN card drivers.but if you dnt see any option of WLAN card or network controller, then u hav to open up the computer and reseat the card.if still doesnt work,,then replace the card
