Water drips in bottom shelf of freezer, creating a piece of ice and then water leaks under refrigerator

The drain hole is blocked, so water is not drain and getting freezed, and then melting and it leaks.--------the drain is stopped up ,, remove the inside back panel inside the freezer and pour hot water into the troft under the coil in the back and flush the drain ,, once water runs though the drain hole then put the panel back in and it will be fine.
------------------
The drain tube is located below the pan below the fins at the rear of your freezer. The drain tube has a trap (s-shaped curve) to prevent air flow out of the freezer. The problem is that water gets in this tube and freezes. You can take the sheet metal cover off the back, get a turkey baster and flexible tube, and continuously flush hot water.this will clear the clog.--------- Thanks.

I opened my freezer (arctica) and heard a sizzling sound -- i could see coils behind the grates on the back wall of the freezer that were bright red (like an electric stove coil on high) -- the water was...

I hope you unplugged your unit or tripped the breaker. If they are bright red then you have an electrical short that should have tripped the breaker a long time before they turned red hot.

The motor constantly runs loud and hot to the touch. what is the problem

It's running hot most likely due to dirty condenser coils, they are the black coils located either on the back or under the refrigerator. Unplug the refrigerator and clean them with a condenser coil brush, You can purchase it at any hardware or appliance store.

Fridge constantly leaks water. The freezer has no issues at all, but the bottom half is always covered in water/ice, I can't keep anything on the top shelf or it freezes, and of course all the drawers...

i haven't worked on a roper but i'm sure it's the same as any other machine, first tilt the machine back by raising the front legs so the doors close with a gentle push, then remove the freezer inside wall, melt out any ice and under the evap coil check the drain hole, pour hot water into the hole to make sure it's draining, usually if water is leaking into the fridge section it's a blocked drain.let me know what you find and i'll help you as much as i can

At times, there is water that freezes under the vegetable/fruit drawers that are at the bottom of the refrigerator. Also, at times there may be a thin layer of ice on the floor of the top freezer. I'm...

Your freezer drain is clogged or frozen up with ice blockage. Need to remove the freezer floor liner, usually 2-4 1/4" screws holding it in - slide it out. Next slowly pour hot water over ice build up and melt all ice. The drain is under the evaporator coils (small hole near center) this connects to a pan under the refrigerator that then evaporates on its own. I usually place a couple of bowls inside fresh food area on top shelf to catch excess water dripping through ceiling of fresh foods.

Next you will need to attach a heat probe from the heater under the freezer coils and feed it into the drain in order to prevent freezing up again. Use part #819043 heat probe or strip some #14 gauge copper wire and wrap around heater once and place down through drain. Recommend the heat probe 819043 to get it right the first time.

My refrigerator stoped cooling and freezing. The lights and the fan come on, but will not cool...

Hello,

The first thing I would do is remove the cover on the back of the fridge and check if the compressor is running. If it's not, then it could be the start device. Remove the power from the fridge, pull out the start device from the compressor and shake it. If you can hear something inside is moving, replace the start device.but if otherwise then,
Your defrost timer located inside the control panel is bad OR the defrost thermostat located on a freezer coil is bad.
Get down low and look up at the bottom of the control panel.
You will see a small round hole. Onside the hole is the defrost timer advance knob.
Use a flat blade screwdriver and SLOWLY turh the slotted knod clockwise until the refrigerator clicks off.
Wait a few minutes then open the freezer door and listen for a sizzling sound from the freezer compartment.
If you do hear a sizzling sound that would be the defrost heater melting ice.
If you do not hear a sizzling sound, unplug the refrigerator and remove the rear freezer panel to expose the cooling coil.
Clipped to the coil will be the defrost thermostat. It will need replacing.
If you do hear the sizzling sound the defrost timer will need replacing.

Good luck and hope this will work

I have ED25PQXFW01 whirlpool refrigirator, it stopped working , I saw red hot inside freezer behind bottom shelf Disconnected electricity, connected back fridge not working

The red you saw , was the defrost heater , defrosting the coils . When you disconnected the power and then reconnected, it was still in the defrost cycle . A defrost cycle lasts 28-32 min . For example , if it was in cycle for 20 min and you unplugged , whenever you reconnected power , it still had 8 min more before it will turn on . Plug in refrig , and in a little while it WILL turn back on .

Freezer malfunction

Drain hole is clogged behind the panel that covers the coils. I found a peice of solder blocking mine. Water was freezing on the bottom of the freezer and leaking out to the floor.
