Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01 Digital Camera
SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

SOURCE: This memory card is protected
Sometimes I get 'this memory card is protected warning'. It turned out that the lock on the left upper side of the SD memory card slipped down. The lock is tiny and gray on SanDisk.The lock suppose to be in upper position towards top.
You can download manual for FX-7 from Panasonic.
FX-7 and FX-8 are similar.
