Question about Pioneer CDJ-1000 CD Player
I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this problem, basicaly cds wont play on dj mode however will play on cdj mode, is it the jog wheel thats broken??
Sounds to me like your platter on the jog wheel is stuck in the engaged position. You have to open up your unit and take apart the jog wheel. In there you will find some spring things (don't quite remember what they look like at the moment or where exactly in the jog wheel they are) and you have to strech them back out so that when your hand isn't on the wheel it will spring it back up. Either that or the switch is busted and if that is the case you have to replace the switch.

Friend you said that it is a cdr and the way files are copied into that cdr by a cd burner is defective. Since it played before and now it did not, you can try it to play many times and be able to play it but even if you able to play it the problem repeats itself. Try to play an original cd again and again then try to compare it to the cdr and see what happens. Friend maybe your player might be a little old but the real problem is that a copied file on a cdr is not as good as the original.
I hope i have been in anyway helped you understand the possible problem.
