Question about Philips 42PF9630A 42 in. Plasma Television
Thanks for using FixYa. From what you have described it seems to be an issue with Y board however, Z and the logic board should also be checked. These boards are located on the right side of the unit and to check them you'll have to open the back of the unit. Once you have opened the back also check for any blown/bulged capacitors. All this is only recommended if you have electrical expertise & know how to solder/re-solder components as these units contain high voltages even when in off position.
