To program a known frequency into the BC340CRS:
- Power the scanner ON
- Press the E/PGM key to enter programming mode
- Enter the number of the channel that you wish to program
- Press HOLD
- Enter the frequency, including the decimal point (e.g., 156.225)
- Press E/PGM to enter the frequency into memory

Press the UP or DOWN arrow to advance to the next channel you wish to program

Press HOLD or SCAN to exit the programming mode.

Can not find a police channel on unit


Depending on your location, the pre-programmed service on your scanner may be useless, and you may or may not be able to tune local police communications. Many public service agencies have moved to the 800MHz bands, and many of those are using trunked radio systems - all beyond the capabilities of the BC340CRS. I have my codes programmed but I do not hear anyone talking


police codes and signals have now moved from 26mhz to a digital frequency. now you will need a decoded fomat frequency analyzer. BDP3534Z 26 division
