Need to download photos from Canon PowerSot S31S to computer using Windows 7

The truth of the matter for Windows 7 is that they want you to use Windows Live Photo Gallery, and there is an import button there, which works really well, and you are done in seconds, Canon isn't really aware of this, and said windows would supply the proper driver, and direct you, As for the small chip reader I bought for another project, it works, one picture at a time. And as a matter of interest the conection for it and the camera is exactly the same. I was not using photo gallery, as I liked the way I did things, but the photos are now in my computer. Windows live photo gallery has a few extra items, like removing "red Eye", and it is free. Hope what I'm telling you helps someone else. Linda

Have you considered NOT connecting the camera to the computer?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Hello, I try to find a driver windows 7 for a printer canon i850. The solution driver windows XP and add-on windows 7 is not good. I don't find the solution. Thanks Bruno

This is the direct download link for Canon i850 Inkjet Photo Printer compatible with Windows 7 (Click Here), open the link, scroll down to the bottom and click "I Agree - Begin Download", save it and install it. Your printer should run without any problem. Unfortunately, there's no additional software to be installed on Windows 7 for this Model.

If you have problem, let me know.

Good Luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

My canon i9900 printer wont install on my Windows 7 computer. What to do?

Instead of trying to use the CD-ROM that came with the printer, access the manufacturer's web-site: http://www.canon.com and click "Support".

Find the latest device-drivers for your "i9900" printer that are compatible with Windows 7. Download them, and install them.

How can i install a canon ip 1900 in windows 98?

Try going to the Canon website and download your software. ( http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010647.asp )

Uninstall any software that you may already have install for the Canon by going to ' add & remove programs ', uninstall your canon printer by going to ' printers & faxes, disconnect your Canon printer from your computer.

Reboot your computer.

Install the Canon printer software that you downloaded.

Hook up your Canon printer to your computer.

The software should install automatically. If not, re-install the software you downloaded.
