Hi just read your posting. The problem you have is called PUMP BLOCK ERROR.This means that the computer has not detected a change in water level. Now the most common cause is a jammed or blocked pump.Try draining some water by hand enough to lean the machine back so you can look under the machine.Look to the front right under the machine and you should see a fan. This is your pump.Turn the fan a few times to loosen it.The fan should turn freely. When the fan turns freely put the machine back on its feet and select a spin cycle and push the start button. The machine should start to drain. Please reply on how you got on or if the machine still does not drain.Looking forward to your reply.
this was brilliant i moved the machine out tipped it up and propped it with a large tin of paint
then was able to locate and free the pump ... put it on spin as recommended and hey presto.
whos a clever girl...rang DH to say you can stop making excuses not to come home and mend the machine as i have done it .....cool ......FIG Jan ...
Thanks for the interpretation of the error message and the location the the pump. Unfortunately it wasn't that easy to unblock the fan for me. I had to take it a step further. I had to remove the pump which was very easy. The pump twists out of the the pump bracket which holds the pump to the bottom of the drum. I had to grasp the plastic locks holding the pump in the bracket and twist and it came right out. Actually, first, I unplugged it followed by disconnecting the two wires from the pump. Both had push connectors. and were easily identifiable for reconnection. Then twisted the pump free. Disconnected the short hose between the pump and drain to outside hose (don't know the technical term for this hose). The short hose had metal squeeze clips at each end. I brushed and blew the pump housing clean. Inspected the short hose for blockage. It was clear. Then inspected the drain to outside hose and there was the problem. A dime was trapped in the opening and it was trapping lint around itself. Removed this debris. Then just reconnected in reverse (short hose to drain to outside hose, other end to the pump, sliding the metal squeeze clips over these two connections. Twisted pump back onto the pump bracket until both plastic locks snapped into place. Then reconnected the two electrical connections and that was it. Working perfectly now. Thank you. Thank you. I could not have gotten a repairman to look at it for who knows how long. It stopped working 2 days before Christmas.
