I HAVE A NIKON SB-800 FLASH UNIT AND I WAS TAKING PHOTOS OF RACECARS AND SOMEONE ELSE THERE HAD FLASH UNITS SET UP ON BOTH SIDES OF THE RACE TRACK WITH REMOTES, AND NOW MY FLASH WONT LIGHT UP AND THE SCREEN READS MRPT A RPT AND UNDER THAT IS BRPT CRPT AND OVER TO THE RIGHT SIDE IT READS CH4 STBY 80 AND BELOW IS F11 XM ZOOM 14MM WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO CANCEL THIS SETTING AND GET BACK TO MY REGULAR SETTING AND HAVE THE LCD LIGHT UP AGAIN. HELP PLEASE LACEY JOHN THOMPSON
Hey ljthomp6_30, I would just reset the flash back to the manufacturers default setting, which is done by pressing the mode button and the on/off button simultaneously for about 2 seconds. Keep in mind this will also reset any custom settings you have. In case you have lost your manual I have included a link to a PDF download of it, and directions on how to reset your flash are on page 12. I hope this helps!
