Question about Computers & Internet

Emachine beeps Hey, we just got a new emachine and we have the same problem! We got it mid/end of April but were in the process of moving so it stayed in the box till about a week ago. I hooked it up and when you press the on button it beeps 5 times then you hear the fan kick on like its thinking about starting up but then it just stops and beeps until you turn it off. The monitor says no signal and then goes blank. Any advise?

That would be a problem for e-machine. The beeps are codes.
I will try to help, but it is hard to diagnose without looking at it.
You can try several things. Open it up and make sure that everything is seated inside. Make sure the memory is pushed in all the way. Memory will beep like that when it is bad or not in.
Make sure everything is plugged up and the keyboard is not getting a key stuck.
Better yet...... If you just bought it...Pack it up and take it back to the store. You should not have to work on a new computer. The bad thing is that some stores only have a 30 day return policy. You mentioned that you have the same problem. Is this your second computer with this problem?

If you want more help you will have to give us the model number. That is a BIOS code and without knowing what BIOS is in it, it is hard to know the answer.
Don't give me a bad rating for trying to help, because this is hard to diagnose. You might want to call E-machine, because that should be under warranty and if you break something the warranty is gone. Hang on...E-machine was bought out by Gateway wasn't it? The last time I ordered a disk for an E-machine, the disk came from Gateway. In my research I found the following information.

E-MACHINE has a support site
Click her for support.

Click on the link below to read about Gateway buying E-machine in 2004.
Gateway paid $30 million in cash and 50 million shares of Gateway stock to buy eMachines.

if the 24th of March and 13th of April are in the same year, preceding the mid-August expiration date - it is valid for travel.

7/1/11 eMachine T6211 won't boot at all; no fan starting, monitor says there is no connection and there is beeping that does not stop. Short beeps spaced evenly. Could it be bad capacitors? When...

Most probably is a RAM memory issue, those beeps are issued when a RAM module can not be found, may be the machine sufferend a crash an the ram jumped out of it's slot (less probable) or just broke (Most probably) certainly a tecnician can save your data to another PC or even, fix the broken PC by replacing the broken RAM module with a new one

Wipers work but fluid not spraying on 1995 bmw 525i rcurrymd@yahoo.com

when the temperature gets above 32 and stays there a day, get some of the good $1.29 brown washer fluid which freezes at a lower temperature than the blue $.89 washer fluid and use that until mid april.

Big fix requires attention

How to fix bigfix virus This problem can be solved manually by deleting all registry keys and files connected with this software, removing it from starup list and unregistering all corresponding DLLs. Additionally missing DLL's should be restored from distribution in case they are corrupted by bigfix. To fix this threat, you should:

1. Kill the following processes in task manager and delete the appropriate files from the programs folder:
1.Bigfix
2.BIGFIX.EXE
3.Alexa
4.Alexa.exe

Run a good antivirus program and remove what is found.

Hey i have a emachines E4028 pc its a UK addition so you wont find it on emachines.com anyway my problem is i tried to replace a ram stick the other day but then i found out it wernt a pci stick sso i then...

Should have been a lots of beeps as well. I really wonder how well it would run with a memory stick in a pci slot tho i suspect you would need a hammer to install it that way.
