Try disconnecting power to the radio for a while. you can do that by disconnecting the battery.

does it play the cd that is in the deck? do you know if there is a reset switch? if there is it will be a pencil tip sized depression someplace on the face or on the subpanel behind the face. the only other option besides taking the deck apart would be to take something like a popcycle stick, and starting in the middle gently moved it from side to side. if none of this works, the deck will probably need to be taken apart.

You need to reset the CD player. Remove the front panel and you will see a tiny hole in the middle of the panel of the unit mounted in the dash (i.e. without front panel). Gently push a ball point pen or pin in to press the reset switch.

If you have a multimeter, try checking the speakers and speaker wires for shorts and/or grounds. Make sure your speaker wire has no bares spots. If the speakers and speaker wires all check out good, you may have a bad internal output ic.
