Are you trying to connect one to Ethernet and one USB?
You can only use one or the other. If you want use both just get a cheap router or ask your ISP if they offer one. Most do.

You need to make sure you have the usb drivers that go with that modem installed on the lap top. I think you can get them from the manufacturers web site if you don't have the disk that has them.
