Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I am trying to make a dvd from a HDD video cam to a sony DVDirect recorder VRD-MC3 and a message saying non supported USB devbice keeps comiong up. Can you hellp?

The manual of the DVD doesn't say much for models, say's sony HDD, sony DVD, so maybe it's not compatible. Do you have a memory stick for the handycam ? If you stored the video on the internal storage, check the manual to see if you can move it to the memory stick, then put the stick into the DVD player. Or you will need a PC to transfer it with USB, then get a memory stick and put all the video on in and not internal storage, if the DVD is not compatible with the handycam.

Toshiba libretto 50 ct wont boot

I haven't encountered multiple beeps on shutdown - but multiple beeps on startup is usually an indication of a memory issue. Frequently can be resolved by simply taking memory modules out and re-inserting them.

If problem continues, may need to replace memory chip. If more than one chip, put one in at a time and startup to see which chip is causing the problem.

Not sure, based on your description of the problem, if this is the issue - but certainly worth a try.

Best of Luck!

My camera stopped reading my memory disk

do you get any kind of error message? try to clean the terminals of the memory stick using a clean soft eraser. reinsert ms inside cam. see if you can get to format the ms using camera. if still not working try to see if a ms reader or other camera can recognized your ms. if not then it might actually be a recording media issue and not the camera. try using a different compatible memory stick to further isolate issue. see: http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/support-info.pl?&info_id=12&mdl for checking compatibility. if another ms works then no issue with camera. if it doesnt it might be a camera issue. make sure ms is inserted correctly and properly. initialize or reset cam back to factory settings. if still this doesn't work unit may need service. hope this helps. thanks:)

Symptom shows its ccd imager chi failure problem and ccd imager chip will be replaced in your camcorder.
CCD Imager chip is an electronic part that converts an image into electronic signal for further process in camcorder circuit boards.
Take your camcorder to local camera repair shop for ccd imager replacement as it is not user level repair and requires qualified tech.

Movie recording disabled

it's either you finalized a disk or your memory stick is full. if possible delete recordings and or photos in your memory stick to enable recording, or put a blank disc..once a disc is finalized it cannot be used to record on the cam but could still be viewed on the cam by selecting the media format,
