Need more info! Is it a Gas heat unit that is package or split unit? Is it force draft induced? Is there any sounds or audible noise that it is trying to call for heat and ignite? Does the inducer fan spin-up prior to calling for pilot. Is it a pilot light or a Hot surface ingition? Is it a direct spark ignition system?

The spark plug gap on all products is .025-inch.

What type of spark plug does the unit take?
The size of the plug varies from unit to unit. On trimmers, blowers and hedge trimmers is RCJ-8Y or RCJ-6Y. Follow the spark plug recommendation and replacement procedures in the operator's manual if you are doing the work yourself.

How do I test the ignition coil with a multi meter ?

best way to test a ignition unit is to simply remove the single black wire ( ground ) set the gap between the ignition unit and the flywheel to approx .003" use a spark tester or just put a good spark plug in the ht cap, put the spark plug to a good ground and spin the engine over to check for a spark. electronic ignition units generally either work or they dont. so no spark means its no good and theres no way of repairing it

HUSQVARNA Chainsaw 435 no spark to plug

The 435 has a single peice electronic ignition unit bolted to the l/h side of the cylinder, if there is no spark you will have to replace the unit, the air gap should be set to 0.3mm with the new unit the part no of the unit is 573935701 check out the local dealer for a price or the web., i have had to replace quite a few units on this model, i do not think its the best unit in the world.

Blower not getting spark

You will need to disassemble the unit to expose the ignition module. Remove the ground wire from the module and reassemble ( you can not spin the flywheel fast enough by hand to make a spark you need to reassemble the unit and use the recoil starter) and check for spark. If you have spark there is a problem with the wires or the switch, if there is no spark then the module is bad and needs to be replaced.
Tip 1. Dont start unit with ground wire disconnected- you wont be able to shut it off.
Tip 2. Laying a spark plug on the head or grabbling the end of the plug wire are not reliable ways to test for spark. You should use a spark tester.

No spark, is it the spark plug or the magneto pickup?

A spark plug is going to be a lot cheaper trhan an ignition unit, so i would try a plug first, if it still has no spark, diss conect the earth cut out wire from the unit and try again, thios will rule out the switch and an wires that may be shorting out, still no spark, then it is going to be a new unit

No spark in the plug

If you have no spark at the plug, start by removing the cut out wire from the ignition switch and try again, if still no spark remove the covers and dissconnect the earth cut ot wire from the ignition unit itself, if still no spark check the air gap between the unit and the flywheel, this should be 0.3 mm, do all these test with a new spark plug, if still no spark then you need to replace the ignition unit itself.

Chain saw has no spark

If it has no spark there are only a few that will cause this, firstly dissconnect the wire from the ignition switch, try again for a spark, if no spark, remove the starter cover, now remove the cut out wire from the ignition unit terminal, try again for spark, if no spark, the ignition unit is bad and will require replacment.
