I find that most headphones have to be opened up by going in through the part that fits to your ear. You might have use force to remove the foam covering, with that gone you should see a few screws.

SOURCE: I am looking for replacement

Yes, the replacement pad for mdr 7506 fits in for the v600. They can be replaced for one another. There are different types of v600 and 7506, You just have to look for the 7506 that looks more like the v600. That should do the job for you. Hope this information helped You.

See my tip on replacing dodgy/cable plugs on headphones, you might get to the bottom of why they don't work.

My sony mdr-7506 headphones stopped working, anyway to fix them, i love them

As long as there is no inbuilt amp or something special to this make, then the problem will be most likely the cable or the Jack plug at the end. There will have a clean break (internal) cutting off all sound. If you are good with a soldering iron then you should be able to get a new cable with plug, or you can try cutting the old jack and fitting a new plug. If you need to go inside to fit the cable then the access screws will be under the foam and ear pads.

Sony 7506 Headphone Replacement Drivers

One of the channels on my MDR-7506 gets a little fuzzy in the bass intermittently, too. It's got a sound like there's just some hair or something in there; it doesn't sound like an electrical noise. This is not a very professional solution, but I found the problem goes away if I give it a good tap with my finger, right on the driver (the part that faces your ear). No need to remove the covers or anything. The delicate parts of the driver are well protected from something as blunt as your finger. As long as you're not pounding on it or jamming things into it, there's no danger of doing more damage. In mine the symptom is a minor inconvenience, so I'm not inclined to buy new ones yet. I heard that special ordering each driver from Sony costs almost as much as a whole new unit, so repair isn't cost-effective if the driver really needs to be replaced.

As for replacement, well, for durable, multi-purpose headphones with great range at a reasonable price, the MDR-7506 can't be beat. Some people say they think the high end is too bright on these, and the low as well, but if you've got normal patterns of hearing loss, you probably need the slight boosts, IMHO. Just don't switch to anything else without testing them out with your own music first; if you go shopping for something different, go to a store that lets you test the phones and bring some CDs and/or a portable player with music you're familiar with.

How to Rewire Sony MDR-7506 headphones

Okay, cut and strip the cord. There should be two copper wires and (on Sony headphones, at least) a red and a green strand. On a new 1/8" jack, there should be three connections. The middle one is left, and is where the green one goes. The short one on the side is right, and is where the red one goes. The long bit is the common, and is where the copper one goes. Before you solder, however, remember which strand is which, because you have to sand or burn off the colored enamel. (Use a fine grain paper, or use a standard lighter or stick match- anything else might damage or melt the wire)
