Question about Juki DDL-8700

I do not see any oil in the bubble on top and the machine is starting to sound weird. I just changed the oil and am afraid to use it because I might do damage to the machine.

I want to oil my machine but only have a photocopy of the owners manual which appears to show 4 spots to oil the machine. My machine has 5 places on the top to add oil. Can you advise?

so add oil to only those spots that the owners manual tells you to oil,you owners manual is all about your machine, follow it,just because there are extra holes doesnt mean they go to something

I have brother project runway computerized machine.its making some weird noise when the handle wheel rotates slowly and also near the needle shaft area.manual doesn't suggest to oil.what can I do to get...

There are some areas of the machine which cannot be accessed for home servicing - the covers need to be opened up to access them. If the hand wheel is heavy to turn then you may be at the beginning of a needle bar seizure, given the noise at that end of the machine - this will usually sound like a groan. We see this occasionally in machines which have been worked hard without servicing. If you have caught it early, it should be solved by a service at your local sewing centre.
You can loosen the screw on the back and slide the end cover off and put a couple of drops of oil (use only light machine oil) on the top of the needle bar, which will run down to the bearing surfaces, but if that is dry enough to be making noises, the other internal bearings will also be looking for some love.

No oil movement in bubble on top of machine

ead the needle raise the presser ft and stomp the power foot down, now check the bubble when the machine is running full tilt. when the machine is running slow you will not see the oil flow. also ck the screen on the oil uptake under machine for dirt.

Why is there no oil movement in bubble on top of machine?

use lilly white oil and oil flow will not show unless the machine has lots of rpms. tilt machine away from you and ck to see if the oil take up screen is clogged with thread debris. use should always oil hook with lits spray oil. u can take the two rubber knobs off the left side of machine and spray a little in each. oil will not drip out because u have a gasket at bottom.

My PixiePlus Singer is making a weird noise and doesn't sew!

try changing the needle
rethread the machine top & bobbin
clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint or loose
if these suggestions don't help, then it would be a good idea
to take the machine to a sewing machine shop to be serviced

I just bought a used Bernina 150 and the stitching is great but it is making really weird noises like a shaker squeking noise when I go at top speed.

I think this is an indication that you need to oil your machine. Follow the directions in your user's manual. Use special sewing machine oil that is clear and available from sewing shops. I also think it is best to clear out any fluff (lint) before you oil your machine.

Euro Pro 9110-How to oil-Where to put oil

Usually, newer sewing machines will never require oiling. In fact, for most, if not all, it's BAD to oil them.

Is it making a weird sound when you sew? Or are you just being proactive and trying to take good care of your new baby?

Feed dog & auto threader problems.

Remove the needle plate and clean the lint from between the teeth of feeddogs, also around and inside bobbin case.

The switch for the feeddogs is to raise (normal sewing) or lower (free motion) and if there is no difference, the accumulated lint will have made a felt pad between the teeth forcing the feeddogs to stay down and present with the problem you describe.

When things go a little "weird", the common instinct is OIL EVERYTHING............DON'T DO IT !!! ....this is rarely the solution on its own account, and can make the servicing a great deal longer as the excess must be removed........little oil regularly, not a bucketful every 5 years is a better approach.
