Issue: ERROR LCD: System Error E003
Solution: Reset the unit-IC D/PC 1000 Series

Reset the unit

  1. Slide the platen to the left.
    slide_platen_left.gif
  2. Slide the platen back to the right until it locks in place.

Here's the definitive reset. It will work on the following models: ImageRunner 1200/1300, PC1060/1061/1080F, ImageClass D620/D660/D661/D680/D681
Press Additional Functions key
Press #
Press > to #7 Printer Function
Press Set
Press > to #4 Printer Reset
Press Set
Press <
Unplug printer and repower it.

System error 000


A E000 means that the fuser unit is not heating up correctly. You will most likey need a new fuser unit. If you unplug the copier and plug it back in and it will not come to "Ready" you need a new fuser. Good Luck

  1. Slide the platen to the left.

E003
During printing, the main thermistor detects less than 120 deg C/248 deg F
for 1 sec or more continuously.

Main cause The fixing film unit is faulty (main thermistor fault, thermal fuse blow,
fixing
heater fault).

or The power supply PCB is faulty.

or The DC controller PCB is faulty.

99 percent is the fuser unit is the problem.

If this doesnt work you may need to replace the fuser.
1: Push Additional functions button.
2: Push # Then + to option 7, Push SET.
3: Push + to option 4, Push SET.
4: Push YES ( - button ).
5: Unplug for 30 seconds.
It workad for me!
