My father (who is 97 ad blind) got a Marcel Drucker talking watch a few years ago. The watch has now started saying random times at the hour - i.e. two, o'clock, then 10:00 o'clock, then 1:00 o'clock. We purchased a new one for him but he does not like the way the new watch works so I need to find a way to get this old one fixed. Any ideas?

i personally have a older watch my father gave me years ago, belive me or not, i use tuthpaste and old soft toothbrush. spread paste on watch lightly, let set for a few moments, then with very little water, use brush vigerusly all over,on face, stem, back, band, and buckle if it has one. when clean to your liking, dry with clean towel and enjoy
I looked on their website, and don't see any instructions for any of their watches. Having set a few watches in my day, but having no idea which one you have, try this:
Press and hold the Mode button on the watch, see if the numbers start blinking.
Then set the hurs and minutes with those buttons. Press Mode once quickly again to end setting the time.
My guess is, if it was the same watch type I was looking at that it also has a 4th button that is labeled "talking". Prees that button when she wants to hear the time announced.
Good Luck. If you know the watch model number, I can maybe help you more.
I can only suggest that you call around your area where you live and see who replaces batteries. Try your local mall....most malls have a watch repair kiosk or call a local jeweler who sells watches.
If no place local, you can send them to an on-line repair such as the one in the following link: Good luck. http://jjwatchrepair.com/
