Question about Belkin (F5D8231-4) Wireless Router (F5D82314)
Until recently, I was running my router in G-mode only (I did not have an N adapter) which worked fine with my wired PC, PC laptop, Mac notebook (not sure what model), and PS3.
I just installed an expresscard N adapter in my PC laptop (which works great), but now the Mac will not connect to the router. It can see it in the wireless networks available.
I also changed the channel from 6 to 7 in the router config.
I realize from browsing multiple sites that Belkim N does not usually work with Macs, but think it`s odd that it worked in G-only, but not in mixed.
The router did not advise that it needed a firmware update on May 26/08 when I last accessed Admin config.
Any thoughts would be great!
The router does not care what brand of computer that wants access, only a MAC address. If you can see it in the wireless scan then you have a configuration setting to resolve. Steve Medley
