Very sorry to say but yes the Old admin and passord is not gonna Work now
Only way is to HARD RESET the Router with the Reset Hole behind router for 30 secs or More
then again Reconfigure the Wireless

I forgot my netgear modem router password

If you have changed the default password, you need to reset the router to the factory settings to get in with the default user and password (user admin and password as password, or if that doesn't work try 1234). Note that you will lose the ISP settings and wireless settings when you reset the router.

Here's a video on how to reset the router to the factory default settings: http://kbserver.netgear.com/media/flash/training/Troubleshooting/NG_WGR614V9Router_TS_LostPassword.html

Forgot my password

There will be a "reset" button somewhere on the back of the router ...no doubt a small hole you need to stick a straightened out paper clip into. Press the rest button and the router will go back to factory settings. Netgear usually use the user name "admin" and the password "1234" to log into routers for default. Any WEP/WPA settings you has set on the router will be gone too, so you need to go back in and set up your security again.

On the back of the router there is a button that says Reset use a pen or paperclip to hold that button for 20 seconds and it will reset all of your settings to the factory default settings. and then you will use the generic user name and password. usually User name:admin Password: None or Password
