Not all aficio 450 have a printer controler on them but if it does there will be a port either parralel or cat 5 network on the left and side rear behind the collator if it as one

I have my problem about my printer I cant install the driver please help me

Hi,
It would help to know what platform you're using (Windows or Mac) and what operating system you're using. Drivers differ from one to another, and sometimes there will be different versions of the same driver for the same operating system (OS).

Hi i have a lexmark printer that i use to have connected to an old computer but now need to connect it to my netbook. The paperwork for the printer has x1100 but the printer has x1180 on it. My problem is...

Before you connect the printer via the USB cable to your netbook, check the version of the operating system(e.g. Mac or Windows - XP, Vista or Windows 7). If you are using Vista or Windows 7, check if it's running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by going to the Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. NOTE: USE VISTA DRIVER IN WINDOWS 7. FOR MAC, ONLY WORKS UP TO 10.3 version.
You can download the Lexmark X1180 driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/9W56vE. Click on "change OS" to select your operating system (see image):

Then click on "FILTER" (see image):

Click on the driver under "Recommended Downloads". Download, execute the file and follow the instructions in the software.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need further assistance or you can also contact Lexmark technical support. Thanks.

SHOW ME THE CORD FOR HOOK UP TO THE COMPUTER AND WHERE DO YOU INSERT?

Son of a ... They don't give you a USB cable in the box.

General Specifications OS Compatibility
Windows Vista™, Windows XP/2000 and Mac OS® X v.10.2.8 to 10.5.x9,11
Standard Interface
USB 2.0 Hi-Speed, PictBridge (Cable not included)

* It should be a standard USB 2.0 cable.

Well you need the kind that connects a printer. Type A connector on one end and type B connector on the other end. See this page.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Serial_Bus

and see this page for a better picture of the cable...

http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-F3U133-10-Hi-Speed-Cable-Feet/dp/B00004Z5M1

one end is kind of square with rounded upper corners kind of like a house, the other end is the standard flat rectangle usb connector that everyone knows from plugging in those USB memory things.

I have a hp 450 printer and a new mac book. Is there any way to get a converter cable to work these 2 together?

Yes...............

Your HP 450 should of came with a high-speed, bi-directional connection cable that goes between your USB port printer and PC or Mac.
Hewlett Packard recommends the HP USB 2.0 Printer Cable for your printer to Mac.

If you shop the web, or your town, you will be able to purchase the cable. One important thing to do is install the "MAC" HP 450 Printer Drivers on your new MAC first before plugging in the Printer. If you lost your install CD, you can download them free at www.hp.com - drivers and support.

As you know "B" goes to the printer and "A" goes to the Mac.
