It's probably Tune Tools for PC version. Check the sleeve or box for requirements.

this is a common error if you try to install a new memory card or if you are infected by a virus. if you tried to install/upgraded a new memory card. these are the thing you need to consider - memory card is not properly installed to the memory slot - memory card is not compatible to the system - if you added a new memory card it means that there is a conflict between the old and new memory card
if you did not install/upgraded a new memory card. these are the things you need to consider - you are infected by a worm/virus. try updating your system by installing system updates. install antivirus software - you might install a software that is having an issue with the memory installed in your system. - Operating system is corrupted need to reinstall the OS. - hardware failure try to check first the memory card then hard disk. or just contact local technician.

How to display Errors found and Repairs made by CHKDSK

<b> <p>How to display Errors found and Repairs made by the CHKDSK Command<br /></b> The Chkdsk command is used to verify the integrity of a file system and is capable of correcting discrepancies in system data files. This command has been with us since DOS days and has been modified by Microsoft as required to meet the requirements of new operating and file systems as they evolved. <br /> If you execute the Chkdsk command from a command prompt without using the F (fix) switch, Chkdsk runs in the read-only mode. As Chkdsk runs its tests on the drive, it displays the results of these tests on the monitor screen and the test results remain there for you to read until you close the CMD box.<br /> However there are several drawbacks to running Chkdsk in the read-only mode, especially on an active NTFS volume (usually C:) <br /> 1. Chkdsk cannot make any corrections to the drive while in the read-only mode.<br /> 2. If Chkdsk encounters more than minor errors, it will not complete all of its tests.<br /> 3. If you are running Chkdsk in the read-only mode on the active partition, Chkdsk frequently reports disk corruption and other file system errors which do not exist. This happens when the system modifies the disk during the Chkdsk testing sequence.<br /> Considering the above, there is little to be gained by running Chkdsk in the read-only mode.<br /> You need to run Chkdsk/F at the command prompt to test the drive and to correct any errors found.. As soon as you make this entry the system responds with:<br /> "The type of file system is NTFS. Cannot lock current drive."<br /> "Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)."<br /> After you key in "Y" (followed by enter) and re-boot, the operating system starts to load and you are advised that a disk check has been scheduled and unless you cancel it, Chkdsk/F will start to run in a few seconds. (Actually the file being executed at this time is Autochk.exe). Chkdsk will run through its phases but it only displays the test results on the monitor screen for about 2 seconds before the screen clears and the operating system continues to load!<br /> If problems were found wiith the file system, you will not have time to read any messages regarding what they were or what actions were taken. If corrupted files and/or orphaned files/directories were detected you would most probably like to know about it and other problems found by Chkdsk. So how do you display the errors found and actions taken?<br /> The answer is that since running Chkdsk/F is a system event, the information is recorded in the System Event Log under application events. To read the log, Click on Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer and Application. Look for "Winlogon" in the Source column and double click on it. An Event Properties dialog box will open and display the log for you to read..<br /> Yavacotech.<br />

How to fix error 48 in itunes

The message does not indicate that there is an issue with the iPod but that that iTunes was unable to read the iPod software update it uses to restore or update your iPod. You can delete the folder containing the iPod software update files so iTunes can download a new copy of the iPod software update.

Here are the steps to take if you get this message:

Eject iPod and quit iTunes.
Use Disk Utility in Mac OS X or run chkdsk in

Windows to verify there are no other issues on your hard drive.
Locate the iPod Software Updates folder:

In Mac OS X, the folder is
/Users/username/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates

In Windows Vista, the folder is
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates

In Windows XP and Windows 2000, the folder is
C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPod Software Updates

Note: If you don't see the files in Windows, turn on the Show hidden files option.
Windows Vista: Open Computer and choose Folder and Search Options from the Organize menu.
Windows XP and 2000: Open My Computer and click Folder Options from the Tools menu.
Click the View tab.
In the Advanced Settings pane, select the "Show hidden files and folders" button.
Click OK.
Drag the iPod Software Updates folder to the Trash or Recycle Bin.
Connect iPod and open iTunes. You will need to be connected to the Internet to download the files.

Then restore the ipod agin -

If the machine is a Dell with DellControlPoint, open start, run then type msconfig and hit enter. Choose the Startup tab and find the startup item named "Dell" with the Command from "C:\Program Files\Dell\Dell Control Point\Connection Manager\Dell.UCM.exe" and uncheck the box. Hit Ok, then reboot your computer.

Have you checked the cord from the scanner lid to the scanner base. if that doesn't work I would try uninstalling the scanner and then reinstalling it. It sounds like a problem with the twain driver for the scanner.
