Double-click on the LAN icon on the bottom right by your clock and go to the IP that is shown for your default gateway. That will take you to your router, than just manually reset everything.

My Netgear WPN824 wireless router stopped working. With the exception of the internet LED (which doesn't come on at all), all of the lights are blue and doing sort of a slow, pulsating blink. No m

The RESET button is for resetting the wireless section of the router and does not effect the Internet connection.
It looks like the wireless access is faulty especially when you cannot reset and configure the wireless settings.
Try powering off the Netgear for 10 mins the connect the power again.
If you still cannot RESET the Netgear then it is faulty and you need a new wireless router.

Log in wireless network Netgear wgr614 v9

The default address for netgear routers is :

So just open a browser, type and hit go. It will ask for a user name and password. Default UN : admin PW: password

If that doesn't work, check the bottom part of your router for the username and password. If still not working, the login might be changed. You can reset the router to factory settings by pressing and holding the small reset button at the back of the router for 10-15 seconds while the power is on. You can use a pen or a pin to reset it. Wait for a minute and try it again.

Hope that works,

I'm trying to use my Computer without the Ethernet Cord(wireless) I'm having trouble finding the original netgear router login page where it ask me for my ssid and password. Also, i't been so...

If you've forgotten the password then best thing to do is to reset the router so it clears it. You do that usually by pressing a button on the router, else there will be a small hole that you insert a pin in to reset it.

Once it is reset you will have to go through all the setup/config again. To connect to the router go to your browser window and type in the ip # for the router, typically 192.168.***.*** , most have 1.0 or 1.1 for the last two numbers.

If your not sure what your netgear uses than search google for the netgear site, then go to support or download and put in the exact model number for the netgear and download the manual again for instructions.

I am trying to get my wii to work on my netgear wgr164 v7 but i keep geting an error code 51030 & i need my password for my netgear

if you dont remember password for your wireless and also for your router.

the best bet would be to hit reset button on wireless router.

you will have to go through the phase of setting it all up again.

once you hit the reset, all the ip details (username and password are located under the netgear router)

let me know how you get on

I have a netgear WGT624 router which is originally connected to a cable modem. I try to connect my laptop wirelessly I enter the password (AES) and cannot connect. Tells me to turn router off for 10 sec...

I would reset the router to default, then set the Wireless key using WPA instead of AES.

  • Push the "Default Reset" button on the back of the Netgear . The button is located on the back of the unit, to the left of the external antenna. You may need to use a pin or the tip of a pencil to access the button.

  • 2

Continue holding the button in until you see the "Power" indicator on the front of the unit turn off and back on. This takes approximately ten seconds.

  • 3

Let go of the button. The Netgear shuts off and turns back on. Allow several seconds for this process to complete.

  • 4

Log into the router using the default password by opening a Web browser and navigating to the address "" Enter the password "password" to log in.

  • If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response.

    Thanks, Joe

Need to reset netgear router wpn824v2

Don't tell me you tried to upload the firmware from a wireless connection.

It's probably bricked. You could act stupid and send it back to Netgear, claiming it just died...(it did right?) and in the meanwhile, Staples is selling 624's for $40 this week.

You need to make sure your internet is still working. Its possible the storm caused some damage to the dsl line

Can you plug a normal broadband modem in and connect to the internet?

If you can, then try unplugging your router and plugging it back in, give it a few mins to boot up and try again (if you havn't tried this already)

If still no luck you'll have to do a master reset and set your router back up and try that, however at this point I'd guess the storm killed your router.

If you havn't got a broadband modem that plugs strait in, then ring your ISP and ask them if they've had any problems thier end.

    hope this helps
