Chances are that the hose has some type of blockage. Take the hose off and look throught it to see if you can see light at the other end while holding it all straight out.If there is a blockage you can try to hook the hose to the exhaust of the unit and blow the blockage out and if this doesnt work try blowing it out with the exhaust from both ends of the hose. Lastly if this does not work you can use a coat hanger , straighten it out and veryh carefully push it in the hose and try po push and or oull the blockage out that way. good luck and be gentle with hose as it will puncture from the coat hanger if you are not careful.

No suction on my dyson dc27

Most common cause of loss of suction are objects being lodged. You can isolate the area pretty simply. Put your hand to the tube on the detatchable handle. If there is suction there the obstruction is at the base. To clear this turn the vacuum over and lay it down. There is a suction hose that attaches just behind rotating sweeper. Disconect it, and check for debris. Also look in the sweeper compartment for hair, and other clogs. Re-Attach, to see if this remedied the problem.

If the loss of suction is somewhere in the detachable handle. What i have done is disconnect it from the unit... Take a wire hanger or similar and carefully run it through the hose. Be careful not to puncture the hose.

My Lindhaus Diamante 300 has great suction but clogs

Sounds like you have some form of an obstruction in the hose ( i once found a tooth pick sideways in mine) most models allow for the hose to be disconnected from the vaccum itself, also make sure theres not a setting for attachments also, some models need the suction redirected.

Extreme vaccum has no suction.

Make sure you put the dirt cone back in the bucket to create the tight seal. You will have no suction without the dirt cone.

yes check the hose. One way to do that is to push a dry garden hose through it.

When the vaccum is running the motor gets hot & smells & is very noisy.

Sounds like yu may have a clog, either in the inlet by the brush roll, or the hose. If the hose comes loose, see if there is suction there. If no suction then it is clogged. If suction, then the inlet maybe clogged.

Vaccum has no suction

Here is what we did to fix the problem of our vacuum having no suction.
We unscrewed the three screws on the back and took the hose off of the vacuum.  Then we took the hose outside and put the water hose through the vacuum hose and turned on the water.  After about 30 second the water pushed through a dust bunny the size of a fist and a marker.  Basically, the vacuum did not have suction because the hose was clogged with dust, etc.  After reassembling the vacuum, it worked just fine.

Need a new belt -- you might have suction but you need the brush to spin (hard to help without make or model, upright or canister)
