Music Hello..I work at a school and we are wanting to take a song off of a burned cd and burn it onto another one, but we want to be able to fase out some of the words while it is being burned, not all the words but most of them. Is there a particular program we can use that will allow us to do it. We still want the background music, just not all of the words. Thank you, Jessica

Do you know of a place where I would be able to obtain an instrumental version of "I Love This Bar"? We are changing the words in the song.

    Thanks

Sounds like you may want to just get an instrumental or are you referring to an edited version for the young ears?

I can copy a cd to my computer but if i try to burn a cd it rejects it?

OK, so it depends on the software you use to get the songs onto your computer. Are you making the copies into mp3 format, or are they converting into something like WMA format? Burning software can handle mp3 just fine, and can even convert it to cd audio tracks, just like the original...(Shhhhhh! ;) )
Might I suggest a little freeware program called Freerip? It copies your music files to mp3, with output settings, and then you can use Nero Express to burn if you want ;)

What do i need for a computer to start burning or to creat a cd/mp3/dvd .

First you need music to put on the CD. You can put your own music CD in the drive and run Windows Media Player and rip them to your hard drive (copies them). After you get all the songs you want onto your hard drive, you can make an audio CD if you ripped the songs as WAV files (this CD can be played in most CD players) or you can make an MP3 CD if you ripped the songs as mp3 files (this CD can only be played in CD players that support the MP3 standard). To make the audio CD or MP3 CD, just download the free program called BurnAware from the internet and run it. Insert a blank recordable CD in your computer, choose Audio CD or MP3 CD, then choose the songs you want and burn the CD. That's it.

I'm trying to burn some songs in Windows Media Player, it's around 300 MBs of songs going to a 700 MB CD-R. Windows says I can only burn around 15-17 of the songs on one disc.I have no idea why it does...

Hey!

Windows Media Player would only allow you 15-17 songs because the type of disc that it will create would be a music CD.

If you want to put in a lot of songs on a CD, it should be a data CD not a music CD.

I suggest you use a burning software that will allow you to make a data CD.

Here's a link that will show you free burning softwares. Click here to get there.

Hope this helps! :D

How to burn a CD

If You want to burn a cd you may try to install a 3rd party software... i may suggest you try Nero,
when you're done installing it open it then follow these steps:
for audio cd:
1. open the software
2. choose the audio cd on the left part
3. you can just drag the songs from the folder where you have stored the songs you intend to burn
*be sure that the total minutes of the songs you will burn will not exceed the 80 minutes.
4. after you finished dragging the songs you like to burn click the burn icon which is found on the upper part of the window.
5. just click ok then wait..
6. when the it's done burning, a message will pop confirming that you have successfully burned it..

* for mp3 cd
1. just choose cdrom
2. follow the steps 3-6 from the above,,

Hello, i want to burn music for kazaa i donwloaded to my computer, i want to burn it to a cd but it says it protected is there any thing that i can do?

You will first need to remove the protection for the files before you can burn them. To do this open windows media player. Click tools-> Privacy and check the box next to "Automatically download usage rights when I play or sync a file" . Then play the files in media player and the protection will be removed. You can then try burning the CD again. If it doesn't work try converting the format of the music. For example convert mp3 to wav and then convert it back to mp3. Do not use AAC encoding as it will retain the protection. Anything other than that, the locks will be broken.
Please note that it is illegal to remove protection on songs unless you have purchased them and want to transfer them to another computer or device.

Let me know if it worked though,
Sai.

I am trying to burn a cd on my Acer Aspire 5536-5255 using WMP and it isn't working?

In Windows Media Player, click Library and then, in the List pane, click <List Name> List, and then click Burn List, as shown in the following screen shot.
  1. If you need to clear the list before beginning, click Burn List, and then click Clear List.
  2. Drag a folder from the Contents pane or songs from the Details pane to the List pane to create a list of songs to burn.
  3. In the burn list, drag songs up or down to arrange them in the order you want them to appear on the CD.
  4. Insert a blank CD-R or CD-RW disc in the CD drive.
  5. In the List pane, verify that the songs you have selected to burn will all fit on the disc. If necessary, remove songs from the list by right-clicking a song and then clicking Remove from List, as shown in the following screen shot.

It is possible that a song will not fit even if the total time exactly matches the CD length, because the Player inserts two seconds between songs when burning. Click the Start Burn arrow and verify that Audio CD is selected, as shown in the following screen shot.
lick Start Burn.As the CD is burned, you can check its progress in the burn list. Burning a CD will take some time.Notes It is recommended that you do not try to perform any other actions while burning a CD. For example, playback may be affected if you try to play a music CD while burning a CD.

You cannot burn additional files to a CD after burning is completed. If you are using a CD-RW, you can erase the entire CD before using the Player to burn files to the CD again.

Dvd-audio cd burning issue

If you are burning a "Data Disc" (the burning software should tell you or have you select it) then music will NOT work on a CD-player. It will only work in another PC.

Data disc is for files, pictures, videos, music that you want other COMPUTERS to be able to read and play.

If you want a music CD to work in a car or something like that it NEEDS to be burned as a music disc, not data.

Hope that helps.

Down loas music

This is an "Mp3-CD player," which is not the same as an "Mp3 player." This device will only play mp3 songs that are recorded onto a CD in audio format. It will not take songs from iTunes, etc. By the way, iTunes songs are AAC format, rather than Mp3 format, so you can't just burn iTunes songs onto a CD and expect it to work with this player either. Sorry.
