When I turn on my HP Pavilion a1130n, I only get a single beep every other second or so. I reseated the memory and get the same. Also started leaving the memory out and get the same - a beep every other second or so.

Screen wont turn on. try to start the laptop and it beeps three times one long then two short. then nothing just stays black.

Reseat your memory.Your memory fail during POST. Open the back compartment with 2 screws holding it and you should be able to get to the memory.
Usually reseating the memory will resolve if not replace them.

Two loud beeps when turning on the laptop

No, you probably don't have the memory seated correctly. Carefully open the memory bay, remove the memory being sure that when you reseat it you make sure good contact is made before locking it in the slot.

Its hp pavilion dv 2000 notebook i on power no display but i hear 3 beep sound only how to service

The 3 beep POST code error means there is a problem with the memory, could be faulty or just needs reseating.
Reseat the RAM modules and if this doesn't work then remove the memory module/s and take them to your friendly computer shop to test them.

HP laptop makes beeping sound but does not start

Beeps are usually related to memory problems.

Try reseating the memory and also trying removing / switching the memory modules. Try booting just one at a time.

Let me know what happens.

Will not start up

If it's not beeping during the first start up then it's not POSTing.  Beep means everything connected to it seems to be functional ie PnP
Try pulling out your memory and reseating it.   Try pulling out your battery for 5 minutes then plug in ac(without batt) and see if it will boot.  Try pulling your hard drive and reseat.  (access by covers on bottom...dont be scared. Touch something that's grounded just before you remove) If all this and still no full POST(with beep/s) then sounds like a new mobo or processor.
