RobertShaw RS2110 seies: Had a power surge yesterday and now thermostat won't cool. Changed the batteries, turned fuse off then on which I know doesn't cut total power. 81 deg in here.

Power surges well known for damaging the control boards of any electronic device, yours may have been partially fried. I woild get a repairmant to check the thing before you lose the contents, see about the liability of the power company for damage

GOOD LUCK

Power surge brand new maytag fridge not cooling

That power surge probably burnt out the guse on the circuit board. I suspect you may need a new board unless you know an electricity geek who can replace the fuse. New I would check your warranty. That circuit board might cost $200. plus..

Power surged and now ref. and freezer won,t cool lights are on and on the freezer door the only light that is on is the cube light

Surge probably took out the control board. Check with your Insurance for cover and get the board replaced.

Power surge caused wine cooler to quit cooling

Power surges, spike and brown-outs are a nemesis to small refrigeration units. The capacitor for the compressor likey was affected and possibly the start components in general, especially if the unit was operating when the surge occured.

Power surge/Control Panel

The control board blew. You will need to replace the control board on your unit and everything will work correctly again. When a power surge happens it will blow the weakest link, and if your system is not on a protected outlet then the weakest link is your control board.

Why does my 1992 Dodge Dakota have power surges when the temperature gauge reaches a certain level or the head lights are on?

Souns like a bad earth some where, an earth that one of the engine tempriture sensers rely on fo ground as well as you head light return.

that's tho only logical explanation to my mind.

Here is a Idea worth trying! put a fresh earth th the head light return! that woud probably cure it! if so who cares where the bad earth is then, save hours looking for it eh?

1 year old Frigidaire Side-by-Side wont cool

Find out if there was a power surge at your home or other homes near to yours. Also if your model has a circuit board a surge may have damaged the board. I am putting a link for another similar problem like yours for you to read and see if it compares to your problem. Let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze
