hey..I had to try the button sequence 4 or 5 times before it finally did the lights

  • cthom57 Oct 08, 2010

no..the problem is not fixed...did you get my comments sent earlier today...took 4or 5 tries of the button sequence before the diagnostic cycle worked...then still no wash...let run for 10 min it appears the element came on as it was hot inside...but no washing happened..

  • cthom57 Oct 08, 2010

..tried unplug (breaker) and first sequence..no luck..tried 2nd sequence, when press normal the heated dry comes on at same time, when press heated dry it just goes off, leaving normal light on, note the lock light is set to off. So I tried sequence, heated dry-normal-heated dry-normal and all the lights came on but still no luck for washing...I can hear water filling then silence then after few minutes some water drains and silence..it is warm inside, but through all the resets no water has sprayed inside, also tried running hot water to make sure hot as possible before start...anything else to try

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa.
To resolve this you will have to reset the console. Do this by closing the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash

-heated dry

-high temp wash

-heated dry

All the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cycle finish (1-2 minutes). You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal. If the issue returns, you could have a problem with the heating circuit (i.e. element, thermostat or wiring). It rarely happens but it could also be the door switch not engaging properly when the door is closed (slightly bend the door latch down making sure it doesn't hit the door when you close it).
Please accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

OK, unplug it for 10 minutes and then try this again you can also try NORMAL WASH-Heated Dry-Normal Wash-Heated Dry in sequence.

Check the door switch before replacing the control.

USE JET DRY and clean the system every once in awhile by running it through a cycle with no dishes and use washer cleaner for that model.

Have you or did the repair man check the belt to make sure it was still good and nothing was stretched? Also the motor to make sure that it was not causing this problem? And everything is oiled properly?
