Duplex printing in HP 2420dn on Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4

According to the specs, this printer does not have a duplex unit and therefore cannot print double sided prints.
If your printer does not have a duplex unit then the printercannot print double sided pages automatically.
You can print double sided pages but you have to do it one page at a time.
First print Page 1 then place the page back into the paper tray, but turn thepage upside down and the print Page 2.
Then print page 3 on one side then page 4 on the other side and repeat for therest of the document.
I suggest you try a test page first, to get the printing the right way up onboth sides of the page so it reads correctly.

HP Photosmart C4280 printer is only printing the information of the lefthand side of documents. The righthand side is blank so half of the information is not copied.

Thank you for using FixYa

Let me give you some general suggestions.
First, I would reset the computer and printer and then try again.
If it still does not print right, then try printing a test page from your Photosmart software.
There should be a tab or button in the software program to Troubleshoot issues.
Run the troublehooting procedure.
If none of this is helpful it may be the format in the file or program from where you are printing,
Look specifically at the margins, page size and format and see if you have settings for envelope or card size or narrow page.
If the test page prints OK try printing another different document from another source.
In some cases the print heads may be dirty or misalligned. Follow the procedure to clean the print head.
Take the cartridge out and put it back in again checking to see if it seated correctly.
If all that is correct then you will need a qualified technician to take a look at it

I hope this was useful and please comment if this was helpful to you.

Booklet printing pages in wrong order.

I believe this is going to be a software issue. Do a print preview of the booklet first to see if they are showing up in the right order. If they are, then it is a printer issues and I really can't help you there, but it they aren't then you know it might be a software issue. Check you formatting on the document before you trying printing it again.

I need to print on 5 x7

Go into the print settings and change the size of the document there. The printer may be set to 5x7 but the document you are printing isn't.

Part of print is missing (far right or far left side),instead ver

Sounds like you have a torn/missed fixing film. look up over the fixing unit (the one that gets one) and try to find a gray tu, it should be complete, from left to right and not torn. no parts should be missing. if one border is like orange or missing then your problem is the fixing film.

Some net printouts need to be printed in Lanscape mode. For example I just selected Print Preview on this page and some of the right side is missing. You can use page setup to select landscape.

Hope that helps...
