Connect it to your modem with the WAN port and connect your computer to its LAN port and turn off everything. Then start modem, after 30 seconds the router and after 30 seconds the computer. No configuration should be necessary unless your modem is using an IP address and your router need another and you only have one from your ISP. Then you will need to contact your ISP to get another one or have them figure how it will work on their site. Use DHCP for your computer if possible so there will not be a subnet conflicts or IP conflicts or something.
