I think I have cracked it. The camera has been stored in a damp cupboard, the moisture is interfering with the electrical circuit.
Any suggestions as to the best way to dry it without taking it apart?
    Thank you for your help.

Hello and thanks for using FixYa. If you shoot a few pictures of anything in the condition that its in. And then take those pictures and view them on a computer or in the preview mode, what do they look like? If the pictures are poor quality with only shapes in monochrome, reset the camera to default settings. 1. Turn on the camera. The mode dial can be turned to any setting. 2. Press and hold the button for longer than 5 seconds. The message Reset settings to default? appears on the LCD monitor. 3. Select [OK] using the left and right arrows on the omni selector, then press the button. Then take a few more pictures and take a look at them. Do this and let me know the results, also you could email me one of the pictures for review, but you do not have to. if you wish you can - email is

Hi - Best way to dry it without taking apart.... Remove the batteries.. and any other parts that come off of it.

Put something in front of the lens so that its protected, or if you have a lens protector or something put that on.

Then find a food container, something big enough that the camera would fit into, But not too big, as small as possible. It needs to be closeable with a top that is Airtight. fill the container 2/4 with rice put the camera in there and fill it up, close the container, the rice will absorb moisture / water from the camera, but it takes time. Leave it closed for a few days. I would recommend a bit warmer enviroment, leave it somewhere warm so that the heat helps to try the water or moisture inside.

    That should do it.

The webcam image is not clear when it is in full screen mode

its a low resolution image, the larger the image is made, the larger the pixels become and this makes the image blurry. unfortunately nothing can be done about this besides buying a higher resolution camera.

Image is blown out

Check the "Exposure Compensation" or something similar. If it is low, will make the photos look darker. So set that to "0" if it isn't already.

This appears to be burn which shouldn't be possible with a LCD TV. BUT have you tried to adjust in the menu for this. I can't remember exactly what they called it but their were 3 different modes for this. Basically it was image retention on a LCD TV. I THINK they called it mode 1 mode 2 and mode 3. and upon switching these modes, the image would clear right up. Sony didn't have an explanation for it either. I just vaguely remember them saying something like that. Let me know if that helped you. Also are you watching a lot of 4x3 pictures or using it as a computer monitor? The cable boxes are notorious for this on Plasma televisions and there is no warranty for it either. Talk to you later. Good luck. Jay

A95 Power shot Images on the LCD screen are monochrome, blurred with stripes

Unfortunutly this sounds like the cable connecting the screen to the main board is either loose or damaged. I would return it to the store you got it from.

Can my camcorder work with imovie and if so how do i get my computer to get download my video?

Open iMovie and set it to capture DV. (Click the camera shaped icon opposed to the siscor scissor shape) When you see a blue screen that says (camera connected) and the image pops on screen of image from tape on camcorder set in play mode, you hit the import button and it begins to capture digital movie using DV compression of whatever you have on tape. You should be able to control your camcorder with the video controllers underneath the project window to make selections for the in and outpunts on the tape you wish to capture. Then switch to edit mode by clicking on the scissor button and import the movies you just captured or use them from the clips menu, etc. renedr movie back to tape, if you wish by clicking back and forth from edit mode (scissors) and capture mode (camera silo) and render to and from tape.

Many graphic cards enable you to rotate the screen up to 360 degrees. You could try to post this question again under you graphic card model instead of computer screen model as it is your graphic card that is certainly the problem.
