Question about Brother MFC-7820N All-In-One Laser Printer
Hello,
Replacing the unit might not still solve the problem, because sooner or later, you will still face this same problem again, i will advice if you can discard or sell the stock on the unit you still have at hand and adhere or go for a better option that will be cheaper in maintenance, this will save you alot of stress and money by so doing, but replacing the unit might still bring you back to square one again.
And on the MFC 7840W, you are still required to adhere to their maintenance instruction, otherwise, you will face same problem.
Take care.

Hello,
Yes, the problem is caused by the generic drum and it will be solve by using the Genuine Brother drums, i will like you to understand you might buy two machine the same day, same product, one might last last you longer than the other, pending on the usage and maintenance performed on the machine, atimes, luck also count, in this case, your other colleagues might just still be fortunate or perform a good maintenance check often.
Perhaps, if you get a new unit, you might not experience same problem, but note, it always advice to stick to the maintenance procedure of the producer.

I don't quite understand your answer. It is too vague.
Are you saying my problem is caused by the generic drums?
Are you saying my problem will be resolved by using the Genuine Brother drums?
Are you saying that if I get a new unit, I will have the same problem if I don't use Genuine Brother?
Is that your experience? Why? I have friends that use generics and have no problems. Why me?
Please respond accordingly.
thanks
Jim
