How do you replace the fuse in ge pvm2070

You should first check the outlet with a toaster or hair dryer to be sure it's working under a load.

Then you should test the fuse then the TCOs if the fuse is good.

There is a technical sheet hidden behind the grille or controls.

There is a video here showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

You can download GE owner's manuals and installation instructions here.

GE JVM1540sn1ss Microwave loses all power including interior light, control panel, etc. I have to set the clock each time. I can wiggle door or control panel and power comes back on. I appears there...

It may be a loose fuse holder or a rare condition, an intermittent fuse.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, & testing.

Re: GE Spacemaker, model # JVM1631BJ03. I need to replace the door. Any suggestions?

The complete door is GE part number WB56X10430. Here's one source that I've done business with, and they say they have it in stock. I checked a few other sites that came back from a Google search, and all the prices were in the $100 to $125 range.

The Sears parts site has good parts diagrams as well as offering the parts for sale.

I have a GE Profile Spacemaker PVM 2070 SMSS and the button pad needs to be replaced for the vent and lights. Can this part be purchased?

Sadly on the 2070-series models, GE does not make separate parts available for the controller.

Only the control panel subassembly is available, and these range from a few hundred to several hundred dollars, depending on your full model number.

I need to replace my Kenmore slide-in electric range, model #991.4674990 and need to know if it is hardwired or plugged in. Can you help me?

Every range I have seen has wires that extend beyond the slide in or drop in so that an electrician can run an electrical line near by. I expect that your existing range has wires that are wire nutted to an extended line from your electrical service protected by a double circuit breaker located in your service cabinet. Remember that the range takes 220V ac service or three wires at least for hook up. A trip to Best BUY or any other like store, will enable you to observe a range in its un mounted state. This way you can plan how you are going to execute the swap.

I suspect that you can slide the range part way out to where you can reach the hook up ad un wire nut the connections.

But since FixYa does not notify us experts of follow-ups, you would need to post a new help request.

The below statment is refering to your manual which also contains the wiring diagram.
Microwaves:
Inside the actual case. It is not consumer accessible. Over-the-range models have the manual behind the grille or control panel

GE Spacemaker Model JVM1860CD002 The oven comes on all by itself, starts in the express cook mode. This could be dangerous Rob

Beelow statmwent is refering to you appliance manual with also contains the wiring diagram. I woudl speculate that the clock/ timer wil turn out to be the problem since you said that you cannot set it.

My GE microwave (above-range)runs for only two seconds then stops automatically

Sadly, we hear of this over and over.

This is usually due to a defective or loose magnetron causing electrical interference and disruption in the control circuit board.

If your magnetron was recently replaced, it may have loose mounting nuts or bolts or maybe the wire mesh RF gasket was not installed or got pinched.

It may also need a new high-voltage diode and stirrer, and the cavity may be affected.

GE had a campaign (but not a recall, mind you!) covering several models.

Details are in their bulletin at http://207.234.249.73/mwd/ge_mw_mag_kit_bulletin.pdf

Even if your model is not on the list, the same problem can occur, requiring a kit. I just think the difference is that GE has stopped paying for the repairs.

The parts kit (that GE used to pay for) is part # WB27X10489 and is shown here: http://207.234.249.73/mwd/wb27x10489_ge_mag_stir_kit.jpg

If you or someone you know decide to look into it, we have critical information on safety, disassembly and door switches at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

There should also be a very helpful "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel. It's very helpful when troubleshooting.
