Question about Digital Cameras

1 Answer

Hi, I have a Sony Cybershot 3MP camera. it has been working fine for just over a year. However, when i try to turn it on it says he battery is low and then switches off. Or it will work for about to minutes before blinking out without even closing the aperture and zoom lens. I have tried charging the existing batteries and i've bought new ones and madesure they a fully charged. I get the same problem... Can anyone help me, or can you tell me what's wrong with it???

Check the contacts and clean them if necessary. If that does not help, try a different BRAND of batteries and see if the issue persists. If it does, it could be a problem with the power board, which calls for servicing..

I keep getting the message: Turn the power off and on again. Just bought the Cybershot DSC-W370 tonight and it worked fine, until the battery was charged. ???

Why don't remove the battery? First, switch off the camera then remove the battery. Wait for 5-10 mins then put the battery back on and charge it straightaway. remember to leave the camera off while charging. let it charge full then unplug and switch the camera back on. let me know if this works for you.

I have the same problem, but when I remove the MS Pro Duo card (1GB) from the camera it works fine again. The memory card works fine in a pc memory card reader. Is there a problem with the Sony camera built-in card reader?

Cybershot will not store clock settings

Hi!
The internal battery is bad. It has to be replaced. Contact your local Sony service center, but if they ask too much, you can contact me at toms.safranovs@gmail.com and I will give you a good price.
I work in Sony service center.

Turns itself off every time I try to take a photo

I had a similar problem with my Cyber-shot S600. It just turned off every time I tried to take a photo. I bought a Sony recharger + batteries and it fixed the problem. Camera works fine and I'm impressed with the how long the batteries last between charges.

Sony Cybershot only works when plugged in

If there's no evident corrosion on the battery contacts, and your camera can't draw current from the batteries, I dont think there's anything you can do but sending it for repair. Try finding a repair shop that can handle it, because i think this might be a relatively easy fix, and sony will charge you an arm and a leg for it. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck!
