i have hp c1537a tape drive with me can it work with windows xp
I have the same problem.
This Problem has been added to the Share Your Expertise Page under "My Work Queue".

Tape drive recognised by XP but removable storage manager (MMC) always reports the tapes as read only and will not permit any other operation except eject.

THe HP test software reports the drive is functioning correctly.
Tried setting dip switch 3 to off to diable MRS all others set to on but no difference.
