Question about Britax Baby Gear

5 month old's feet touches seat and you can lift up the back of the carseat. Just installed it but it doesn't seem right, her head leans forward too;(. I have a Chevrolet Tahoe with captain's chairs, is that a problem?

I will take a pic in the morning and send it you way. Yes it is brand new. I took it to Babies R Us today and they gave me a strange answer...'We can't help you', because they don't want to be liable! I just want some help putting this thing in my car;)

Yes this definitely sounds strange indeed. Is this a brand new seat? If so you may want to return it and get another one, maybe a whole other model altogether. Obviously the safety of your child is worth not messing around with... something is definitely up with that seat.

If you want you can take a picture of how it is and send it to me - and I will check for sure.

Ok sounds good, but my recommendation is still to return it and get one that you can easily get into your car. There will come a time when you will have to re-situate it in your car or in some other vehicle, and if it is already difficult it is less than ideal. High quality car seats usually come with excellent explanations on how to get them in, for you to have to resort to asking us is a bad sign :).

Anyway, just my opinion - I will watch for the picture for sure.

Where are the spare wheels kept in a Hyundai terracan looking the bar for releasing spare wheel

The bar to lower the spare wheel is located under the back seat. The back seat is a 60/40 split seat and the bar is under the 60 longer seat. You need to pull the lever at the top of the seat near the head rest and lean it forward as far as it will go and then pull another lever at the base of the seat facing the door, Then lean that part of the seat forward to reveal the spare wheel lowering bar sitting in 2 clips. Take that bar to the back of the car and lift the tailgate. Just to the right of the latch that locks the tailgate in place is a hole to suit the bar. slide the bar all the way home and use the tyre lever to wind (anti clockwise)the spare wheel down. You're welcome.

Which direction does the wedge go in the maxi cosi cabriofix? We got ours second hand and I our boy doesn't seem to be comfortable either way I put the wedge in.

Good Afternoon

The lumbar support wedge should go in the CabrioFix carseat with the thicker part at the back. The idea is that for a very young baby it provides a flatter seat, keeping the spine, hips and neck in more of a straight line than a sitting position. The lumbar support wedge should be used for a newborn baby up until between 4 and 6 months old to provide optimum safety in the event of an impact and to make baby as comfortable as possible while in the carseat.

I have an Axiss and was wondering if you can remove the adjustable head support. My 19mth olds head seems to be squished into this and always falls asleep slouched forward as her head doesn't fit into...

Good Afternoon

The head support in the Axiss should not be removed as this is part of the integral design of the Axiss carseat and it controls the height of the harness.

My 2 yr. old grandson falls asleep and his head falls forward everytime. Looks uncomfortable. His mother has a Britax carseat and his head does not do this with this carseat. We both drive new Mercedes...

I would say it is just the incline of the type of carseat or the type of side wing things on either side of the head. I have seen a small u shaped neck pillows in the stores that may be able to help they come in different animals and are soft and pillow like.

Hi we have a second hand Britax rock a tot car seat, can you please advise the age group of the infant to be able to use this car seat?

it does not go by age, it is based on height and weight.
Rock A Tot is not a recognized name on their website of current or retired models.

It is a model from the UK-
Weight/Size Suitability
------------------------- The Rock-a-Tot is a group 0 car seat, suitable from birth up to 13kgs (around 9-12 months). It uses a three point harness. For a newborn this seat is lovely, the head hugger makes the seat very snug and secure around their head. However I did find that as my baby got older the head hugger seemed too confining and we removed it when he was about 4 months old.
The shoulder straps can be adjusted to 3 or 4 height settings allowing a good fitting as you baby grows.

Although this seat is designed to go up to 13kgs I think that most people chose to move their baby out of this seat when he/ she reaches 9kgs and put baby into to a forward facing seat. Adrian was a large baby to start with (9lb 9oz) and also long. By the time he had reached 9kg's (around 7-8 months) his legs had to be bent slightly with his feet touching the back seat which we didn't think would be very safe in an accident (as surely more pressure would be placed on his legs if the car seat moved towards the fixed seat)and he was getting rather squashed in to the seat.

How do u release seat from base

Good Evening

At the front of the base unit (nearest to the edge of the vehicle seat) there is a large grey release clip. Pull this clip forward (toward the front of the vehicle) and lift the carseat away from the base. Ensure that you lift the carseat completely away before letting go of the release clip as otherwise it may not release fully and the carseat will still be partly attached.

I Need to remove the center headrest in V70 Wagon for FF car seat

The releases are located inside the seat back. This pic will give you a good idea of where to look for them. It's easier with 2 people, one pushing the releases and another lifting the head rest out.
