The nozzle is blocked up i'm assuming with limescale. I've tried soaking it in descaler but it still won't work. The buggy is working but need the nozzle for any sort of power.

If you can not get the power nozzle to work then the best thing to do is take the nozzle to the local vacuum store(used) and they will tell you the best advice weather it be fix the old one or replace the head. You can pick up a brand new head for around 99.00 up to 350.00 depending on what you want and they have come a long way in the past few years so take a look at a couple new ones.

My Polti Vaporetto steamer won't work when I press the handle button?!

Can you feel it is getting hot? Because these work by boiling water they can fail due to limescale fouling moving parts. Always try descaling, you will need to get the solution in behind the press button.

Polti Steam Generator heating up but no steam coming out?

Polti have many models. All question need 'make model (what it is)' as the first 3 words in every question. Otherwise it is a but of a guess.

If it is getting hot, then it should be producing steam. There can only be on reason and that is that something is blocked with limescale. Has it ever been descaled?

https://www.fixya.com/support/r26134544-cleaning_laundry_iron

If it the type that has a hot flat iron and a hose to a steam generator tank, then it is possible that the element has failed. It is worth descaling that unit as well just in case there is a blockage down there. Add the descaling solution and turn it on for 5 minutes. Turn it off, leave 5 minutes and give it a shake every 5 minutes for 30 minutes. The descaling solution will only remove scale from places the solution touches.,

The nozzle on my machine needs to be cleaned. there is lint in it

If its just the nozzle, soak it in a mixture of Dawn, baking soda & hot water apprx 5-10 min. After soaking take an old paint brush, sponge applicator or several pipe cleaners and just start to work it, The gunk should start to break up. If not, you may need to enlist the help of a butter knife to help your cause.

The steam comes out of the water reservoir cap instead of the steam Jet Nozzle.

I can only guess since I have never worked on one of these units, but I think you lost a gasket on the cap. Pressure must build in the reservoir before being forced out the nozzle.

Why is vax s7-a+steam mop steamer dripping water and cuts on and off

I managed to fix mine after a little effort. It was blocked well up in the nozzle into a small pinhole where the steam comes out of the 'small kettle' in the steam mop.
To fix:
  • take the blue side bit off by unscrewing the two small screws
  • Undo the screws inside (there are about 11)
  • Once these were undone there was two screws holding the nozzle cover.
  • After unscrewing these pull the nozzle cover of and scrape limescale from inside the small hole where the steam comes out
  • Put it all back together and it should work much better
You should only really do this if you are competent as there are lots of wires etc. and if your steam mop is not covered under warranty as messing around with it will void this.

Hope this helps :)

We have a Magimix M 200 Purchased at John Lewis Registration No: 278739 approx Dec 2008. We have not got the purchase receipt. The nozzle for frothing up the milk is not working at all so we are unable to...

There might be a blockage in the steam tube or the frothing nozzle itself. Make sure the nozzle is clean and try inserting a pipe cleaner gently into the steam tube to clear any blockage that may be preventing steam from passing through.
