Question about HP ScanJet 2200C Flatbed Scanner
I have a HP Scanjet 2200C Scanner, i do not have the CD rom driver for it, so i have downloaded the the driver + Update from the HP Website.
The problem i have is, when i try to save the scanned picture i get the following error message...
The message then says this program will now close.... and it does.... Bugger !!
Any ideas whats going on?
I hear that some HP hardware is not to compatible with XP, is this true??
It is not a compatibility problem, as that scanner is designed to be run on all versions of Windows. The thing to do would be to unistall the drivers and the scanner from add/remove - both software and hardware. Then go to the hp site and download the proper driver for the OS you're running. Make sure to NOT have the scanner installed until after you install the software. Here is the link to d/l the drivers.

Older scanner that were around in Dos day - Win 95/8
Are not compatable with NTFS systems.
However this one thing to try.
Go to my computer/Help/and type /Compatability
This computer facility that allows the computer to run as Win 98- It may just work.
