Question about Dewalt DC920KA Heavy Duty Xrp 18V Cordless Drill/Driver

1 Answer

Transmission problem i have had the trans compleatly torn down and found no worn gears at all and reassembled it according to the exploded veiw sheet where i buy parts from. Could it possibly be the gears in the clutch setting itself there is also a spring i think could have broken and thus preventing it from getting enough tension?

I have a 91 honda accord with an automatic trans. & when i shift into reverse it refuses to engage & makes a high pitch gear slipping grinding sound ! NOT GOOD ! ,I just replaced the transmission con

Definitely not good. The transmission is slipping internally due to worn gears and clutch packs. It will have to come out for rebuilding, IMO. Have a transmission shop check it out.
Good luck.

1999 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 TRUCK TRANSMISSION SLIPS IN FORTH GEAR . HOW CAN I FIX IT MYSELF , OR WHERE CAN I VEIW THE BEST " DO IT YOURSELF " TRANSMISSION INFO. ?

Put a transmission line pressure gauge or visit a local trans shop, on the pressure test port and go for a drive to verify proper line pressure. Base pressure at idle in P,N,OD should be around 70psi and around 140psi in R. Max line pressure should be at least 190psi at WOT in 1st or 2nd, 225psi is optimum. If base pressure is low, trans or pump is worn out. If max pressure is low, check EPC solenoid. If reverse is slow to engage, and line pressure does not come up to at least 130psi in reverse, replace the boost valve with a Transgo 0.500" boost valve (easy fix in pan).
“3-4” clutches are worn out or 2-4 band is slipping. Servo seals may be damaged (can be fixed without removing trans. Otherwise, 2-4 band is worn out. R&R.
Soft shifting, gradual performance degradation: Poor line pressure rise due to leaking boost valve, clogged EPC filter screen, failing EPC solenoid, or worst case: leaky seals throughout the transmission.
Most transmission shop test drive and hook up a scanner to see what condition your transmission is in. Call around and if they do charge for the inspection, call another place that will. 4th gear slip sounds like ether line pressure issues from a bad boost valve or a bad EPC and if your lucky, it's might just be a simple TPS that has a bad spot which controls your EPC valve. EPC (electronic pressure control) Valve. TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)
Good luck and keep us posted. http://www.hotrodders.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=27867

Drives okay in 2 gear but if I put it into drive is revs like neutral after 2nd gear 2000 sunfire 2.2 auto

You might check your transmission fluid level... but I'm thinking it is more serious than that.

Craftsman front wheel geer driven lawnmower, the front wheels won't ingage, the drive belt is not broken

these are pretty simple drive belt goes to the transmission and that turns the driveshaft there are plastic cogs inside the tires that sometimes wear out and even seen a sheer pin broken take off the cover and look at the belt at the trans, spin the pully see if the shaft turns ? if it does then the wheels are the problem if it dosnt then the trans gear stripped easy fix even for layman let me know if this helps p.s. you can also go to searsparts, com for exploded veiw of driveline just type in your model # good luck

99 jaguar transmission code p1722

This code is an indication that the transmission has excessive slippage, the code is for the input and output turbine speed sensors, based on what i know of this problem the trans has a mechanical problem, that would be low fluid pressure or worn out forward clutches, make sure the trans fluid is not low, if it is ok you will need to have the trans torn down for inspection..

this problem is caused by the reverse clutch pack being worn out, this will require the trans to be torn down and overhauled.

Pops out of gear

There are a few possible causes of this: Likely internal shift synchros in trans have worn out. Possible: linkage worn, or bad input shaft bearing. In all cases trans will need to be removed and torn down.
