What is the make and model. Some machined have a sensor that shuts trhem off when they get warm because this usually means the bag is full. also make sure all the filters are clean, If they are sponge you can rinse them. dont reinse any other type odf filters and also allow thye sponges to dry before turning iy back on.

I need to know how much water to put in it.

Fill the provided measurement cup to the maximum fill line with water. In areas with a high mineral concentration in the tap water, we recommend using distilled or demineralized water to prolong the life of the steam cleaner. Using the funnel, pour the contents of the cup into the reservoir.

How to Prolong the life of your Vacuum leaner

There are several types of vacuum cleaners these days. Most people now seem to use the upright bagless vacuums since you do not have to buy the filter bags. Those vacuums are fine, if you take the proper care of them. Ithink it is a bit messy. In order for you to really prolong the life of any vaccuum, you must make sure the machine has plenty of circulation. In order for the vaccuum do the great job you expect, you have to do a little maintenance on it.
  • Each time you run the vaccuum,
  • Take out all filters (foam & the plastic inserts)
  • Wash the filters out with warm water.

What do the numbers on the Kirby G5 beater bar end caps mean?

The numbers on the beater bar end caps are used to lower the brush down as the bristles wear down. When you bought the machine, the brush roller started in the 1 setting. One year later, after the bristles have worn down, you can move the numbers to 2, then 3, etc.

It's a pretty neat concept by Kirby, it prolongs the life of the roller brush significantly.

Hope this helped you,

VACUUM CLEANING IS NOT COMING ON

Check for power in the plug to the main switch. In most cases the long wires break or damage affter prolonged use. If the switch activate power then check power tilll motor. If so the motor is defective and might be though of for estimation of cost. Look out also for a load trip switch.
If motor brushes are bad clean and set but if winding is open you need to estimate.

Dyson 07 plug gets very hot after prolonged vacuuming

Electrical current passes through the electric cord and plug - it will get warm, that's normal. If the problem is worse where you smell an electrical burning smell, only an authorized dealer can fit a new power cord to your vacuum cleaner. Call the Dyson helpline, they will let you know who the closest repair dealer in your area is.

you either have something worn out or the motor inside is going bad. Sounds like the motor in the power head is going bad. Disconnect the the wand from the power head and flip over the head take the plate off. then take the plastic cover off uou should get to the motor then. look at all the parts. I would think you need to replace the brush roll, belt and motor. But this is just a guess

If your battery is not holding a charge, then you will need to replace the battery. Unless the charger isn't working, but usually it is the battery.
