Re: HP had slow problem
Your restoration CD should be doing the full format for you.
If not, and your operating system CD is the actual Windows CD (with the logo etc), then you can use that instead. Simply put the CD in and have the system boot with that.
Once the CD loads, it will ask you whether you want to install Windows, or repair the current installation - ask it to install (NOT repair), then follow the on-screen prompts.

A slow computer could becaused by a number of things -
1.InsufficientRAM memory - if your computer has less than 512Mb of RAM then increase it to atleast 1Gb of RAM.
2.Registryproblems - clean and repair the registry, it will contain unused registry keys.Use programs such as Registry Mechanic, Microsoft RegClean etc.
3.Uninstall/removeunused programs, this will also free up hard disk space.
4.Notenough hard disk space - swap file space may need to be increased if Windowshasn't been configured to manage it.
5.Installlatest Windows updates.
6.Updatevirus definition files and scan computer for viruses, Trojans, malware etc.
7.Clearthe Internet cache for faster browsing.
8.Harddisk maintenance is required at least once a month to keep it functioningefficiently.
Runthe following programs -
Disk Cleanup -removes temporary files that are no longer used and to recovers hard disk space.
DiskDefragmenter to make fragmented files into contiguous files and thereforethe hard disk access is faster.
Hello, Laptops could and can be all compatible. However when looking into gaming requirments you should reference the games minimum requirements and start there. Here are the requirements for Star Craft II :System requirements
Go to Trend Micro and run Housecall to check your PC for viruses and spyware. If it is still slow go to Start and click on My Computer. Right click on your C: drive and choose Properties. Run the Disk Cleanup. When that finishes click on the Tools tab and do a Check Disk and Disk Defrag.
