You are getting a SMART error (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology; sometimes written as SMART) this is a fault prediction capability built in to the hard drive.
Best advise is to immediately back up all data from the system then replace the hard disk drive

This means your computer has S.M.A.R.T enabled which most computer's these day's do not. This is one of my favourite features because it gives you a warning. You need to go to a computer store and get them to ghost your memory over onto a new hard drive. If you don't and your hard drive fails, you WILL lose all your data saved on that hard drive. I got this message and waiting 3 weeks, my hard drive failed and I lost all of my data.

Sorry to hear :(. I hope this helps, and I hope you take this into consideration. Please don't forget to rate, Thanks!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Get error message "no Bootable disc"

You need to check the BIOS settings to see if they've been changed. Easiest fix once you're in BIOS is to choose "default settings" and then reboot. If the settings are correct (choosing the internal hard drive as the primary boot device) and it still won't boot, your hard drive may have failed.

My Apple Mac keeps giving me a message telling me to restart but when I do, the apple screen appears with small wavy red lines through the apple. It then goes to the blue screen and finally flips to

This could be anything and will take a workshop to diagnose correctly. The power-supply unit in these Macs was particularly problematic and it could easily be that but without a worksop visit it's im[possible to tell.

Bad hard disk message back up and replace message

If the hard drive is failing it will need to be replaced and then you can use the recovery disc to re-install windows. If this computer is newer than 2005-6 then it most likely uses a 3.5" SATA drive.

When i turn on my laptop a warning notice comes on screen immediately saying smart failure predicted on hard disc 0:ST9160310AS-(PM). Warning immediately back up your data and replace your hard disc drive....

It means exactly what the message says.
The hard drive is going to fail in the near future. I recommend you back up your data before the hard drive fails completely.
When the hard drive fails, replace the hard drive, and use your Compaq recovery disk to install Windows and the device drivers plus your programs to get the laptop working again.

How do i delete my call logs from my sony xperia and text conversations

To delete entire call log; Open the call log from home screen or menu, then press the left HARD button (four squares above it), then tap delete list on the screen.

To delete all messages/ conversations with 1 or more contacts: Open messaging from home screen or menu, then press the left HARD button, tap Delete several on the screen, then select the contact/s.

Individual messages within a conversation can be deleted by tapping the screen on the message to be deleted then tapping delete (beneath forward message on the screen)

Cant log in to Toshiba A300-1J1

What I would suggest is logging on in safe mode and trying to restore it to an earlier date using system restore. likely the profile is corrupted. By doing a restore back about 4 to 7 days , or before this started happening, will likely fix your issue. If not you will have to purchase the restore cd from toshiba or restoring it from a recovery partition if it has one.

Maxtor D740X-6L 40 GB drive won't start up.

Put your windows xp disc in the drive and boot up from it, run windows repair or failing that reinstall on the upgrade option to keep your files and programs.
If that fails, you will have to do a full instal.

No boot disc

Yes bunnydawg could be indeed correct. Although also make sure you don't have a flash drive, external hard drive, or any CD/DVD left in the drive first. As they could try to boot from the device and fail (because they are not setup and formatted as bootable) and it will report the very same message.
