Question about Bosch 3.81 cu ft WFMC530 1UC Nexxt 500 Plus Series Washer

2 Answers

Our Bosch Nexxt 500 series washer slips to 56 minutes from 25 minutes without our help. It seems to happen mostly when we use a full load. What to do? We have had the machine for a few years and it happens regularly. A nuisance!

Thanks for the explanation of "fuzzy logic" - it really fits the problem. However, the rest of the response is much too technical for me. Unless I can turn off the "fuzzy logic" I have a feeling I just have to live with it! It is a nuisance, since most loads are not soiled at all and do not need the long cycles.

The timer will need to be replaced. Daysappliance and partselect.com both have parts, manuals, diagrms, and more.

This machine has got a sensotronics technology that takes input of the temperature/load cycle and makes corrections to the machine. So These inputs can make corrections or alter the program that is causing the program to run offf slowly, sometimes this is also called as fuzzy logic , It helps to give a good energy efficiency-- as Bosch claims- but there are many complaints of the time relativity.
hence it is possible that there is an induced fault of an input to delay the timer or perhaps the program controller by itself is defective.
Now I would like you to test with different programs so as to observe the changes and come to a conclusion. YOur inferance must guide you to understand if this is a relative failure of a set delay on the machine.
Sometimes when more complications are brought in so as to enhance performance , we also bring in likelyhood of more problems.
Please check the sensors that are attached to the control board input check for failure or break.

The advice/tip given is with the belief that you are competent. You must attempt to do it yourself only if you are technically/logically able, especially when dealing with delicate devices, damaging while trying to open, Probing electrical/electronic circuits with high voltage or delicate components. Since the advice given by me is with the inputs provided and not based on a visual inspection, there can be further reviews required in some cases.

Error code E:01

Hi and welcome to Fixya, The E01 error for your bosch indicates a door lock problem has been detected at the control board. Insure the door is closed tight, turn your breaker off or unplug the washer for a couple of minutes and retry. Let me know what happens, ultimately it may be a faulty lock assembly, a loose wire harness etc. but we'll cross that bridge when we get there...if necessary. I'll watch for you to respond with the result's. Good luck. Macmarkus :)

TURN OFF ALARM

Assuming you have allready checked the operators manual, check again on page 19 for "Accoustic Signal".  To deactivate the signal select a program press two of the option buttons and hold until a short signal is emitted.  There you have it.

Gasget came off the washer and i can't get it back on

I have the perfect solution the placing of the Retaining Spring back on the Bosch Nexxt 500 Door Gasket. It only took me only 5 Minutes after fighting with it for hours and getting nowhere. What I did was purchase a set of 12 inch hemostats (long Clamping Pliers). The ends of the Hemostats I wrapped both of the jaws with Electrical tape to prevent the Spring on the retainer from sliding up the jaws of the hemostat. When the ends of the retainer are placed on the ends of the jaws and the hemostat opened the spring is stretched. I found that If you use your knee to hold the hemostat open while placing the retainer in the groove of the gasket you can slowly release the springs and set the retainer back into the gasket without the gasket pulling off the tabs.

I had the same problem. the only thing that works for me is fulling the fabric softener compartment all the way to the top with water then it will syphon down! it adds it to the load at the start instead on the rinse cycle but its better then nothing!
