Question about Fisher and Paykel DD24DCTX6 Dishwasher

Open Question

Hi, We have 1.5 year old Fisher and Paykel DD24DCTX6 Dishwasher. Recently the bottom draw will not complete a regular (115 min) wash cycle. It gets down to 48 mins and stays running at that spot. Eventually (after a couple of hours) it will stop and produce and F 4 error code. I have tried resetting it by turning the power off to the unit. When it does error out, there is water left in the bottom of the draw and we have to run it in Rinse cycle to get rid of it. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you, Jeff Pray

SOURCE: Brand new dishwasher not working

try this test: add water (one gallon each try) by hand fill and try the cycle again. Continue until light goes out. If light never goes out, then faulty water level switch or wiring. If light goes out, then water inlet valve is stopping too early, but need more info to determine why. Try this test: open door and find the door switch. Then activate the switch and turn on machine to watch water come in. It should not just "dribble" in; try to determine if water pressure is sufficient coming in.

SOURCE: dishwasher error

The error was a flood fault, water was not draining from either of the drawere, I removed the bottom drawer, dried drip pan and used hairdryer to dry fault sensor, the dishwasher then reset itself and works fine.

DD603 top draw cycle getting stuck on 73min??????

Normally if you started the rinse cycle with water already in the base of the dishwasher it will immediately go into circulating the water through the wash arms. Do you hear the wash arms running when the washer is stuck at 11mins? Also when the washer is stuck at 73 mins are the wash arms running all the time or do you hear the pump operate at some stage?
If you have the dishwasher manual available make sure the water pressure setting is at HI or LO depending on your rated mains water pressure.

Fisher and Paykel washing machine

Without being smart...buy a new machine. It sounds as though the timer is dying...therefore slowing down...therefore extending cycle times. If that's the case, a new timer will cost about half the cost of a new machine.

.After running my dishwasher on eco/fast cycle,

If the dishwasher is completing the wash cycle without any problem then the suds can occur either because you not using correct detergent. This model does not tolerate the tablets. You have to use the powder.
Water remaining in the bottom of drawer is linked to drain hose either blocked or not looped high enough under the kitchen sink.
I would suggest check this document for correct installation.

Have you got your dishwasher on an extended drying cycle?

Normally it works for about 10 minutes after the wash cycle is complete - not hours.
