It sounds that the infra-red sensor inside the TV is faulty. Contact any service technician. Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check by pressing all the buttons on it; and see whether all of it generates infrared signal while pressing. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It has details about how to check a remote control; by one among the post. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ If the remote control is found OK; check and replace the infra-red sensor inside the TV
Check your remote batt first. if batt are new, check infra red light from remote using camera (selular cam etc). If infra red flashed on cam, that indicate remote is no problem. Call technician to check your tv.
This problem is very common with rear projection TV's.
is related to one or more of the colour guns being out of alignment or needing to be replaced.
The only way to correct this issue is to have a technician come in and
fix it or bring it into a repair center. I personally would suggest
purchasing a new TV. The cost of getting them aligned is usually more
then a basic LCD.
The standby light should be blinking a repeated count with a pause between counts. Can you post that here please? That will indicate the cicuit in which the problem was found that casued the shutdown. Armed with that info, I should be able to indicate the most probable defective parts and how to resolve the problem.
Chances are good that both the old remote and the new remote are OK. A TV repair facility or, in some cases, your local Radio Shack dealer may have an infra-red indicator that will show if the remotes are outputiing any infra-red light. This does not confirm that the data riding on the light carrier waves is good data, but in most cases if the remote is putting out light it is also puting out good data.
Since you have two factory original remotes with the same problem and one of them is brand new it is more likely the problem is in the TV itself. Impossible to say without inspection, but the first suspect would be the infra-red receiver. Although you did not spend a lot on the set oroginally it would still be worth the repair if your loacl servicer is a fair one.
I have the same TV and the same problem, I take out the block of colours red, green and blue (the blue colour is broken) and I went to the electronic supplies for ask the price and they don't sell just the little blue mirror (blue pixel), they sell all block for $2,050.00 dollars. It's the price for a new one
